2017 Trump Presidency Thread

He IS a bloody egotistical billionaire.

Not that I disagree with your other points, but for that [citation needed].

Fuckwad had a few million tied up . . . maybe.
He probably doesn't even know all his assets. His supporters forget, he's just the name on the trust. His accountants and lawyers are the real brains behind him. I doubt he could balance a checkbook. Every "idea" he had turned to shit, best example: "I'll show Obama and run for pres."

The American Congress, President and We the People
Regarding Healthcare in 2017

I'm fairly certain Trump didn't understand how laws are passed prior to his *gag* presidency. He probably thought he just signed something and it was law. He is likely still confused about the process.

I'm certain he didn't realize the horror show of a healthcare bill (that no, he doesn't understand or want to because apparently the healthcare industry that makes up 1/6 of the American economy and effects every single American at some point is "complex", but who knew?) being passed by the House of Representatives was not the end of the process.
Sir, I'm afraid we still have to pass it through the Senate.
Who?
The upper house of Congress.
That's the smaller one?
Yes.
But we had a party and everything...just make sure it isn't mean.

Throwing a kegger in the Rose Garden was perhaps not appropriate to the occasion of it passing through the crazier house of Congress. Or maybe it was, as 99% of Americans will soon be donating organs such as the liver to people such as the attendees to survive.

And to the idiot who asked why we aren't deciding to adopt the single payer healthcare model, it's called a representative democracy and unfortunately we don't get to check a box and choose our federal policies (some states do have local referendums). Oh and our elected represent lucrative interests as opposed to poor people because they are greedy and really unattractive as a group.

A mere 5% of Americans want this bill passed as written. To put this in perspective, 95% of Americans can't even agree that they never want to catch Ebola, yet somehow they concur that this healthcare bill is awful. Ask for sources. ;)

If Trumpcare passes, yes it will destroy the Republican Party. I just don't think it's right to gloat about trampling over the access of 20+ million people to healthcare and shredding the already threadbare safety net for the poor for an 800 million + tax cut for the rich. Color me liberal.

People shouldn't have to suffer or die so others can feel smug about how awful the dominant political party and current president are in the US. We are aware.

And those Americans who simply hoped for jobs and healthcare and stuff who aren't aware that their hopes are again inconsequential to those in power will suffer greatly or continue to suffer greatly. Let's gloat! :\

So no, I don't want Trumpcare to pass but I do want every American to understand what this administration wants to happen to heathcare, taxes, immigrants and exactly how it will affect their lives.

And then flip Congress in 2018 and let Trump get ripped to shreds by the intelligence community he derided while Congress stalls or possibly does something worthwhile (I'm not delusional.)

For those of you who still think Trump is a brilliant businessman who has the thick skin to withstand getting pummeled like Bill Clinton was, you are wrong. However, I do have some very valuable interests in a bridge in Brooklyn. PM me about this exciting investment opportunity! :D

Trump picking a war with the media was stupid, picking one with the intelligence community and "unceremoniously" firing Comey was possibly even stupider, particularly with the former head of the FBI now being appointed to investigate him. All he needs to do is heinously insult the IRS and he will score the Trifecta. Oh please please please!

Similar independent counsel investigations have taken ~3 years.
Does anyone think Trump is running again? He doesn't like sleeping under a roof without his name on it, he doesn't like traveling, reading or the scrutiny of the presidency. He doesn't like anyone who doesn't suck up to him and he's not used to power > money, meaning members of Congress and world leaders aren't fond of being told what to do so one needs to be diplomatic. Basically he doesn't like the job description of the American President.
Can the Democrats still manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Stay tuned. (At least they vote together!)

tl;dr PM me about an exciting opportunity to invest in a landmark bridge in Brooklyn. No reading required. :) I'm trustworthy.

Also the great amount of people who are ignorant.
How can this ever be reconciled? I mean, is it even possible?
It's tragic indeed.

Meanwhile the Fox News crew and their cult think they are winning an American football game!

Like really sad or Trump tweet "Sad!"?

The entendre is double!

This has damaged the US worse than 9/11. I mean, if it could get cleaned up in a few months, with a solid transition, some damage could be spared, a little dignity recovered, but I don't see it yet.

For example, I can't even say "huge" or "incredible" any more, which is sad.

And your username makes me hungry. For now this is a good thing. :)
Sad... not 'Sad!'

I pride myself on being much more grammatically sound than our 5th grader 'president', thank you very much 8)
