2017 Trump Presidency Thread

A good part of the reason I voted for Trump was to say "Fuck You" to the DNC for letting her participate in the first place.

I remember everyone saying that no matter what, at least change will be brought to both parties, but the democrats are delusional, they are a broken failed party composed of social outcasts, immigrants and quislings that will not attract any young talent to become the face of their party, they are in a current Lord of the Flies scenario and it's hilarious.

The only way they could have continued as a political force is if Clinton got into the white house and opened the borders to fresh new voting base in exchange for handouts and entitlements.

Republicans have lots of young rising talent and will be the party of the future.
 
^ if they abandon their religious viewpoints they will be.

anti drug, anti gay are viewpoints becoming less and less popular in the youth and future generations. on both sides. the gop refuses to adapt on social issues clinging to their biblical teachings...thats whats really holding them back...they tried with all their heart to hold trump back and put cruz in. I think cruz would have lost
 
A lot of people voted for him for the same reason. HRC is divisive and always has been. You're right about the DNC. They are focused on "identity politics" and ignore the plight of middle america which suffers from a real jobless rate of around 37%, a record high taht puts the US in the same position as Europe and Greece regarding the employment situation.
I hope that both parties will do some soul-searching and realize who they are supposed to represent.

in a protest situation where you have a thousand blood thristy tolerant antifa members trying to pull you out of your car to beat/kill you. I fully support that person to drive through the crowd.

Also this is a slightly hypocritical stance to have on the left. When Islamist extremists are drivIng trucks through crowds of people, rarely do I see people on left condemning the act with any real conviction.

I say I can't wait till Kevin O'Leary wins to make Canada great again. That cuck is selling out his country to foreign interests and truly sticking it to the Canadian Middle class.

I looked into the bill and found out it only would give us immunity from civil liability and only if it wasn't intentional.

I'm not sure he's the answer, he's expressed pro immigrant sympathies. Maybe it's just an act to avoid getting lynched by CBC. Time will tell I guess.

Nope. If a group of skinheads were randomly attacking black people, I'd hope they would get shot as well. If you're going to be violent thugs, you should be treated as such. Regardless of political affiliation or skin color.
 
I'd shoot a klansman harming an African America in a NY minute. Not a question about it! The new libertarian vision is not divisible by race, but by those we view as fascists. In my mind people that call all speech they disagree with to be hate speech, those are people I view as anti American fascists.
Just bc I want strong borders, believe science over feelings when it comes to gender, want a textualist SCOTUS justice, don't care to go to war with other countries for frivolous reasons, don't believe we should nation build, believe in states rights, know that claiming black people are some lower being that cant acquire an ID to vote is indeed the racist view, Think drugs should be legal, rationally fear a strong centralized federal government, recognize theocratic nations residents don't tend to align well with western values, and take modern journalism with a grain of salt doesn't mean that I am a racist, homophobic, ablist, transphobic, islamophobic, ist, ist, ism, etc etc. people really need to start using their heads more imo

A British Muslim schoolteacher travelling to New York last week as a member of a school party from south Wales was denied entry to the United States.

Juhel Miah and a group of children and other teachers were about to take off from Iceland on 16 February on their way to the US when he was removed from the plane at Reykjavik. The previous week, on the 10 February, a US appeals court had upheld a decision to suspend Donald Trump’s executive order that temporarily banned entry to the country from seven Muslim-majority countries.

^ I think this is sad.

Don't mean to pry, but the day before yesterday Trump lied about Sweden having a problem that simply did not existed at all. Nothing he claimed had actually happened. Apparently he repeated something he misheard from Fox and now he does not even care. He does not want to know how this country may be benefiting by receiving refugees. He's the type of person who only accepts things and people who agree with him. How is that possible?

Also wouldn't it be unwise, perhaps unreasonable to say I'm always first, even if I am not I will be regardless. Is there anyone who feels good with that proposition? It seems arrogant, and considering all the lies I think this person is a bit childish. I'm just an ordinary person but I have been constantly listening to a lot of really clever world leaders, diplomats both from the top first world contries but also from the US. It doesn't seem to me Trump is fit to be President. Sooner or later the lies may involve serious facts and I don't see how we will simply watch and accept. It intrigues me how things will be a couple of years from now.

Oh no, a mistake was made and a single persons feelings were hurt, because he was not immediately admitted into a country he has no right to be in. I'd have a hundred people inconvenienced if it meant it stopped a single American death at the hands of radical Islamic extremism.

How will Americans feel when countries start banning Americans from entry? Or do we just call that a pickup War?
