2016 American Presidential Campaign

It is sickening. I'm only slightly reassured. Disregarding all of Trump's crimes (some being proven...cough:Trump University:cough) and some being in the judicial process right now, at least he says good things about Putin, and is willing to bring back doing business with Russia on all levels like I don't know back then in 2002 when my mom bought me my "last" birthday present, at Zellers...our own dead Canadian Walmart...Best Buy bought them and closed most of them, bunch of necro-capitalists they are. It was some kickass 80-100 dollars headphones, which were made in Russia. Try to find something made in Russia outside of bacon, and they won't tell you it's from Russia and the worst of it all, that Russian bacon we got to eat, is really expensive, because our north american bacon is made is made of pork fed something Eli Lilly invented that is a beta-antagonist, which kicks your heart into beating faster, could be responsible for some heart diseases. When the "Health" Ministry (under the Tories, they deserve the quotes), said that Russia was not being reasonable and not being scientific on cbcnews.ca, I had one hell of a good laugh, (you should see the Federal Government scientists who protested in the last few years of Harper's reign, with the muzzle they'd wear. Tons of their papers were ignored, shredded or distorted and when they protested they were threatened with being fired immediately....So that's why the price of bacon raised as Russia stopped buying north american made bacon. But they still have the largest share of the market so some of theirs, "healthy" bacon, which is more expensive. (I mean seriously, having bacon with beta-antagonists on them, what the fuck, might as well cover that bacon in cyanide).

Yeah, people really have this view of Russia that is so colored by the cold war, to the point where half the time I type it out I at least initially type USSR, but go to a major city and you'll find its a major power. The backwoods rural areas, not so much, but neither are ours, only Russia has a lot more of them given the difference in area. I have actually given significant though to moving there.

You're certainly not - because i feel the same way, Jess.

The stomach-turning irony of Trump's racist stereotyping of certain groups of people as "rapists" - while himself being subject to numerous rape and sexual assault allegations - is difficult to overlook.

There is a constant refrain from so many of Trump's supporters/sympathisers/apologists about supposed causative links between refugees (specifically - but not exclusively - Muslim), migrants and increased sex assaults - but what do these people say when the issue of Trump's sex crimes comes up?
Not much, it seems.

If any of the people who use rape statistics as a justification for their vitriolic attacks on asylum seekers sincerely cared about violence against women or sexual violence more generally - they wouldn't support Trump.

So what is it - cognitive dissonance on their part?
Ignorance?
Prejudice?
Hypocrisy!
All of the above? Sure.

But another term for it is rape culture.
Oh you can call it "locker room talk" that "guys" engage in - and that's fine and dandy, apparently. Boys will be boys, right? Bullshit. Talk about fucking insulting.

But hey, gotta watch out for those rapist Mexicans, and Syrian refugees who apparently treat women poorly.
The rhetoric would almost be funny if it wasn't so sick.

Trump's victory is not a solution to what's fucked up about the current political and social environment - it's just another symptom of it.
The president elect is like political syphillus; oozing repulsive, slimy discharge, causing intellectual degeneration - and just being downright sickening.
I don't support Trump by any means. And I am for certain thinks that he will get rid of right off the bat, such as Obamacare. And I don't support a wall and a bunch of other shit he went on about.

But, you and and everyone else aren't doing themselves any favors when you're trying to throw around "rape culture" and "Trump sex crimes" to behavior that's not even close to that. You're doing yourself a disservice and you're doing actual victims of those things a disservice.

He's a repugnant human being and we don't need to exaggerate things up to put him down.

I'm not exaggerating, i'm absolutely sincere.
Read the link in my post, and Jess' post to which i was replying.

If it's the bold text that offends you, i can't help you there.

The coyotes rape a girl to death at least once a month in Arizona. I know the other states are likely as bad or worse. The stories of girls as young as 15 having to let them rape them to cross the border are numerous. The stories of illegals kidnapping little boys and girls to do the same to them is the norm. They target blondes. These aren't just stories that have no basis in reality, it's well documented. The cartels run the coyotes themselves. They are brutal to the people that they bring across.

You want to talk about rape culture....

It's not liberal tears that are worried about their portfolios. Trump seems to have a hard on for tariffs. He may be in the position to cut the US out of world trade, and that's going to hurt stocks.

That position is funny to be honest. Without the US there is literally almost no world trade. We are the largest economy per capita. We are the largest consumer of just about everything. We are still the richest nation in most regards.

Anyone who isn't a PC hack can see that some european countries are having problems with migrants raping and groping women. Curfews for them to try and cut down on it, signs at swimming pools reminding the migrants to keep their hands to themselves. So sad.

ok. you claim that the u.s. is the world largest economy per capita. so please substantiate your claim? if it's true, it should only take you a moment...

alasdair

If you want to say that countries whose only income comes from selling of secret bank accounts and laundering money is worth note over the US, them by all means you can be right all you want.

Those aren't truly functioning economies, which I admit, was not a qualifier I stated in my previous post. I sometimes forget that I have to qualify this reality for this crowd.

don't get mad because somebody took your post at face value. when you don't say what you mean, how are we supposed to magically know what you meant?

You are talking about taking posts at face value in the same one you are suggesting I am mad about something or another...

You're always a blast to talk to alasdairm...

From Wikipedia, total world imports are: $18,791,000,000,000.

The US's share: $2,380,000,000,000 (#1, just ahead of the EU).

Total world exports are: $17,779,000,000,000

The US's share: $1,504,000,000,000 (#3, just behind the EU).

It may throw the world into a recession, but what is a country supposed to do if Trump decides to impose tariffs on imports? Sit back and do nothing?

That the US has no tariffs while the rest of the world does, is the monument to stupidity and anti-American trade deals. I would rather see the world economy crash than give my country to people that don't deserve it. Likewise, I would rather see a civil war destroy it than give it to violent savages.

I wana take a moment to congratulate Donald TRUMP for his behavior at the white house. He behave like a saint! I think he was appointed by God himself and speaks the word of God. There's no way someone can pull off something like this without God's direct intervention. TRUMP is the TRUTH, the WAY and the LIGHT. Any truth seeker seriously interested in finding it, can only find it through Him. He's the messenger of God on Earth!

Ohh! Trump! SAVE US! Let your glory run upon the land and your mercy soften your hands! SAVE ME! SAVE US ALL!

Sieg heil.

I like the deifying of rich people. And so would they. They have you trapped and now you are grateful to them for trapping you even deeper. :)

This post really creeped me out.

Thing is, people always come back and talk about migrant sexual abuse, bill clintons behavior, islams treatment of women, etc.

But none of that changes the underlying problem. Which is how by all indications trump treats women. And the fact that in spite of that, we still elected him. It's one thing when we only find out after they're elected. But we knew beforehand this time. And an enormous segment of american society basically just said they don't care.

That's what really gets me. How could so many americans just not give a damn? Imagine being one of those women he touched. I can. Imagine how devestating it would be to tell the world what he did, have a bunch of other women come out and say he did it to them too. Then only weeks later see your fellow citizens vote him in as president. I can only imagine how it must feel based on my own experiences. And based on that, id imagine id feel completely let down by my society, id feel totally alone and defeated, that society really still doesn't care about abuse victims after all. Cause that's how I kinda do feel in light of this election result. And like I said, it's not because I wanted clinton to win, it's because I can't see how anyone could in good conscience vote for trump.
