2016 American Presidential Campaign

Bernie is only doing well in the polls bc he is playing tennis without the net. If his ideas/ plans got vetted they would plummet. Not to say he still wouldn't beat hrc but those polls are inflated.

I don't even know how to respond to that except to say other than you don't know what you're talking about. His Healthcare plan has been endorsed by hundreds of doctors and medical professionals. His economic plan has been vetted and supported by the most famous economist on the planet as well as the guy that was the inspiration for Gordon Gecko in the movie Wall Street. His Wall Street tax has been endorsed by plenty of financial professionals. His minimum wage plan is already being passed in multiple states. His plan to completely decriminalize weed is already rolling through states. Obama endorsed his automatic voter registration plan.

So again, you don't know what you're talking about.

He is selling lies and running on the classic platform of eating the rich. I got the tennis without a net line from a NPR pew analyst fwiw. I agree they need to oust the wash woman and make things representative. If Hilary loses its going to be the biggest I told you so in recent history. Actually I don't fear Bernie on guns he seems to be fairly grounded on the issue I just don't trust the radical scotus picks he would make.

You realize Trump has the worst record on telling the truth out of any presidential candidate since they started counting, right?

And the SCOTUS thing, gay marriage was made legal nationwide whiile Scalia was still alive. The court doesn't always split down party line, in fact it's their job not to.

The gay marriage thing was the right thing to do though. Trump said Hilary wants to abolish the second amendment the other day. Does she? No doubt in my mind. Has she technically said it? No. Way too calculated. Trump rattles off some nonsense and seems to be not in the know on many things but at least he is honest and you know exactly where he stands each day lol. He is just a place holder and will be tough with ending the world jobs programs and getting tough with illegal immigration which most people want. He is socially liberal too so I and the kochs hate him. Trust me bardo he would be better than Hilary even if he just burns the White House down/ redefines parties/ etc starting from scratch doesn't sound that bad tbh

^ my view exactly; on many policies I agree with Trump, on others I can criticize him from both the right and occasionally from the left
but such a radically different approach no matter what has to be a positive change away from hilary or another establishment candidate
there's very little damage the president can do particularly as a president Trump quite likely have an Obama-like relationship with Congress
the Supreme Court, of course, is most the important thing the president can do, and I would rather vote for just about anyone who will put in candidates who will, inter alia, maintain/restore the 2nd amendment, limit if not turn back Roe, and stem the sexual-identity-politics tide. Trump isn't the best for any of these but he's a damn sight better than anyone available.

Droppy, do you find if challenging to construct a coherent, linear paragraph? Because your shitposts are all over the place.

There is a rather basic linguistic convention in English to divide different concepts into paragraphs.
Your tendency to stick every cliché and buzzword you can think of of into a single blob of rambled turdtext makes me question your sincerity drippo.
Oh, and your transparent trolling too.
The only reason i hope hillary wins is because of how butthurt you would be. Which is a pretty sad indication of how superficial this campaign has become.

You're gonna be put in a fuckin' crazy house if you keep up with these non sequiturs and let your family/employees/relative public and especially social services to find out about it.

Edit: You don't have to respond. I'll do it for you, not what you write, but what you think: "Typical libtards, I can't compete with their level of dialectic so I'll accuse him of ad hominem and side-skirt the issue without answering his question,"

If bernie sanders wins, then local elections might start leaning left. Wouldn't it be amazing if all branches of government helped each other rather than shooting each other in the foot?

Yes, bro. This. It will be more than this if it goes right. I'm willing to close my business and work to make this happen. We can split off the Democratic Party and leave them a skeletal simulacrum of wealthy insiders while all middle class, poor and working people rally behind the new Bernie-style party. By midterms, we'll have had 2 years' prep time and will have our candidates campaigning for Congress, and will take a majority in both Houses. Very soon, bills will start flying out repealing every mistake (like the Bush tax breaks) we've made.

We just have to figure out what we'll be called. I suggest "True Republican Party" because I've always sympathized and agreed with the Radical Republicans and loved the early Republican party of the late 1850's-1860's and Radical Reconstruction, and the Democrats of that time were the slaveholders, i.e. the Republicans of today, so they're phonies.

But I've been saying for a while and I'll say it now...a new party system is coming. I'm not sure if it will be the result of the fracturing of the Republican Party or the Democratic, but one or both will have to split and a new third group will supersede the one that withers off. We're now in our (6th?) party system. History shows there will be another.

Maybe if Bernie wins, that new party will be a (Moderate due to the inevitable influence of money) Left multi-tendency party, and the rest of the establishment Democrats will sit and watch as we take the machinery of state in the face of their shock.

I voted for Austin Petersen in my state's primary. Any other registered Libertarians?

I just heard Gary Johnson on the Joe Rogan program and he had some pretty interesting ideas. I feel like I could vote for him like a lot of republicans vote for Bernie. I think he's incompetent on a lot of topics like private prisons and health care but I like a lot of his ideas and policies.

“From whence shall we expect the approach of danger? Shall some trans-Atlantic military giant step the earth and crush us at a blow? Never. All the armies of Europe and Asia could not by force take a drink from the Ohio River or make a track on the Blue Ridge in the trial of a thousand years. No, if destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of free men we will live forever or die by suicide.”

~ Abe Lincoln, Lycaeum Address, 1838

Our "death by suicide" shall be sealed in the possible election of President Comacho...er, I mean Trump...as president.
