No offense, but people say this every year. Last year it was kind of true, but they had an easy tournament schedule. Until they played Duke, then they lost.
Glad Wiltjer is doing someone some good some where though.
Wiltjer PLUS Sabonis = one heck of a scoring duo...add in a healthy Karnowski and they're tough to beat. I'll admit; they've lost some games they should have won, but I think they'll go far this year!
Another great day of games.
Soon as the camera panned over to Ulis after Calipari got ejected and I saw the "that's how you want it? okay, I got this..." face, I knew we were good.
Besides the impending Maryland implosion. Stone smashing that guys head into the court intentionally and pretty much getting away with it. This is a huge problem with NCAA officiating. A coach gets a little heated-ref gets his panties in a bunch and ejects him. Player gets head smashed intentionally- stays in game, double technical on both sides.
Edit: Supposedly the reasoning was it was an open hand instead of a closed fist. Wtf? So his head getting shoved intentionally onto a hard surface is a secondary detail I guess? Marylands making a comeback but honestly their reputation didn't need another blow especially after taking in Rasheed Sulaimon...
Idk what's going on with Oklahoma...they don't look like a team that can make a deep run in March right now. They were my pick to win it all very early in the year.. but I'm not seeing it anymore
Looks like the Big Ten will be sending 8 teams to the tournament
I'm putting in two brackets for the money tournament I do every year. I'm still not over Michigan losing to Louisville... Out of about 80 people I was the only person who had Michigan wining it all, and over half of the entries had Louisville winning
Having your team lose the championship and missing out on a lot of $$$ sucked so much
Uk wins big thanks to Skal and Poythress. Can't believe I just said that. Looks like thats all she wrote for LSU. Disappointing that Simmons will have to end his college career in the NIT. Was hoping he could have led his team and made a good showing in the ncaa tournament for the SEC. But if Skal continues like this for UK, it might not be over for us.
UNC looks good but I think all the 1 seeds this year are more flawed than usual. Very vulnerable.
Last game of the season for Louisville. Pitino made a bad joke when asked about returning to coach next year then left the interview pretty abruptly. Kind of odd.
