2015-2016 NBA - Looking to start a BL fantasy league!

thanks Arci - as LBJ's #1 dick-rider, it's hard to fathom the LBJ hate. the dude conducts himself with class, has risen up from the streets of Akron, holds many charitable organizations (in Akron area EVEN WHEN HE MOVED TO MIAMI!), married his high school sweet heart (who is no model), and doesn't beat up women or anything like that

meanwhile Curry was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, thanks to his NBA Dad. Curry is a garbage human being and hopefully Game 6 has shined a light on the darkness that is the media bias with him

can't believe this is going to Game 7. as a CLE fan, I expected the Cavs to lose after Game 2. everything from there was just xxxtras. maybe CLE can win? it will be the sports story of the decade if they do!

Id have Kobe at #2 behind MJ but then again none of those guys ever dominated asx much as wilt chamberlain. Impossible to compare eras

...so we can stop hearing about how he is not one of the best players ever. He gets so much disrespect...
if you read selectively and you enjoy a one-fan pity party maybe.

ESPN names LeBron James greatest small forward of all-time
LeBron James' greatness has never been questioned, and according to the Worldwide Leader, he's earned the title as the greatest to ever play his position.

The list of accomplishments that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has amassed over his 13-year career is astonishing. He's won four MVP's, two NBA championships and two Olympic gold medals. He's also been to 11 (and most likely 12) and counting All-Star games and named to 9 first team All-NBA teams. Of those achievements, and combined with the milestones he's accomplished, he's also been the best player in the league for the last six-plus years.

LeBron's name has constantly been discussed among the all-time greats, including in comparison to the likes of Larry Bird and Julius Erving. In fact, ESPN.com recently released it's greatest players of all-time at each position, and LeBron was better than both Bird and Erving, and every other small forward that has played in the NBA.

i did a google search for greatest nba players of all time and his name comes up in the top 10 again and again and again.

I will save those Top 10 of All-time! lists for the dime-a-dozen (nowadays) sportswriters/bloggers out there. pisses me off, cuz most of those aforementioned bloggers only care about striking gold with a super hot internet taek! than actual, ya know... sports journalism

and the mined valley of golden hot tasks is paved with opinions about Lebron James

I dunno where LBJ sits upon such banal & arbitrary lists, all I know I that I am super happy to have him on my team. again, in a world full of douche bag sports mega stars - it's refreshing to see someone like him not be 100 % douche (he ain't perfect IMO but he could be a lot worse). scary thing is that LBJ is going to be able to retire off in the sunset. Kevin Love but more importantly Kyrie, are locked into their CLE contracts for something like 5 years. now that Kyrie established himself as a fellow mega star, we can see LBJ not have to take the burden of all of the load and most importantly, ease into the role of a role player. the Cavs will be NBA Finals good for a loooooong time - all you LBJ haters can hate him for all I care, he makes everyone on your team 300 % better VIA his work ethic alone

I am just happy to quite down all of the band wagon GS fans. so nice to shut them all up. and the world/media is finally getting to uncover truly what entitled lil douche brats. yall see Kerr bitching about the officiating so much in the post game? his defense Steph Curry is the MVP. like a good bandwagon, ESPN is now doing the bitching for them/him

this team is wearing the faces of men whom are no longer scared of GS. dear God I hope we win (I am cautiously optimistic here)

Ahahahahhahahahahaha

Oh man this is so sweet. Now we can finally have the bandwagon fans crawl back into their hole.

Greatest comeback of all time in any sport.

Biggest choke of all time

What a beautiful game. We are all blessed to witness what just happened

the parade is on Weds. going to try to get off work. still can't believe the Cavs won, really doesn't feel real

arci, i guess all the cleveland fans who burned their james shirts will just buy new ones? and will they then burn those when he leaves again this off-season?

ahh so you are one of the many that says Lebron is going to leave Cleveland this post-season, now that he has accomplished the insurmountable and brought a Championship to the accursed city? now that the Warriors have choked away in historic fashion, (most of them) instead of congratulating Cleveland say that 1) the NBA is rigged and despite Draymond Green kicking too many players in the nuts, they banned him out of nowhere for a game, just to let Cleveland have good odds on winning the next 3 games, or 2) Lebron is leaving next year anyways cuz Cleveland sux!!1

I am in the camp of why would Lebron leave? as I pointed out earlier in this thread - he has the rest of his next 5 years absolutely made. Kyrie Irving finally established himself as a true superstar, in these Finals, by finally playing some semblance of defense. Kyrie & Kevin Love are locking into CLE for something like 5 years? LBJ can do what he wants to do, not carry the whole burden upon his shoulders, and revert back into a role-player. imagine LBJ as a role-player! amazing! it would be quite the change from him running the team/running the point guard position, as he did during Warrios VS Cavs Part 1. Lebron literally has it made in Cleveland and the front office has shown that they will do whatever he fucking wants in regards to coaches/player personnel

LBJ is set to at the very least dominate the Eastern Conference, and at the very most appear & challenge the West in the Finals, for the next 5 years. he can retire off in the sunset and win at least 4-5 more rings - where if were go to New York or LA, what exactly is guaranteed?

I've been a huge LBJ fan since his Akron St Vincent St Mary high school years. I have a good read on the guy. as far as I know, there are only 2 serious reasons for him leaving:

1) sure he won a ring for Cleveland, but now he wants to cement his international brand with an international team/city. this means LA, New York, or Miami (again). I could see the Lakers making a desperate mad dash for Lebron, hell, I could see any team doing this. as much as opposing teams and their fans front the LBJ hate club, they would do literally anything to get this guy on their team (Knicks fans, I'm looking your way)

2) LBJ has always said he wants to team up with his best friends, they are - Chris Paul, Dwayne Wade (again), and Carmello Anthony. these were the guys in his same draft class. damn! the NBA fan in me absolutely creams his pants thinking of CP3 + LBJ on the same team. Wade, however is too injury-hobbled these days. Melo is Melo - he's a freakin' awesome scorer but I always thought of him as a cancer for your team. LBJ has said he would love to team up with these guys and that he would take less $$$ to do so. however, will it work? I could see it happening for the Knicks... but it's just such a long shot

anyways, it's funny to hear that this LBJ leaving narrative is what the LBJ haters have now started to cling on to. sports writers have said now that LBJ won in such insane fashion for Cleveland that now even his haters have to finally STFU. if only. hilarious to see Golden State fans say that Cavs only won due to GS injuries and the League rigging it so Draymond was out for Game 5...

haha! where were you salty fuckers last season, when LBJ almost willed his entire team (minus his 2 superstars) to beat the high n mighty GS Warriors? many sports writers have posted a hot take that if LBJ had Kyrie & Love healthy for last year's Finals then we would be talking about the Cavs being back-to-back champions

fact is Golden State pissed off the basketball gods with their insane hubris (right before their Fall). they called LBJ a bitch, said their team was better than "Showtime" LA Lakers, tweeted baby bottles @ Lebron, punched nuts, etc etc etc. if they just had already leant a lesson in humility, they would have not choked away an NBA Ring. but no, the Cavs had to teach them that aforementioned lesson :)

LBJ brought my Cavs a ring. never thought that this would actually, truly happen. if the man wants to leave, so be it. thanks for everything ~ Lebron Fan 4 Life!

and look on the bright side, at least Curry got to play with his Daddy on Father's Day ~!

Man, this blows.

Props to Lebron and Kyrie for an unbelievable performance down the stretch.

Sucks to have the dubs season end this way, but something really wasnt right with them since the beginning of the playoffs. They were not the same team that started the season of 12-0 vs the top teams in the league.

Lots of what if's that could have made things turn out differently that dont matter any more, oh well. I guess if the warriors have to lose in the finals I dont mind that it is to the poor downtrodden sports fan of cleveland. Its been a pretty good run for bay area sports over the past 6 or 7 years so I have nothing to complain about.

I hear Durantula is considering coming to play for the good guys next year!

if they give lebron a statue it should be of that chasedown block on iguodala in the final minute of the game

I cant help but feel like mid 2000s iggy would have slammed it down for an and-1 and the warriors would have repeated, but that didnt happen, and lebron got cleveland their ring, which I cant help but feel like was a forgone conclusion the moment he came back

the one knock I have on Lebron is how he tries to act like the odds were stacked against him to become a great basketball player

did they not have fucking mirrors in Akron in the 1990s? youre the most athletically gifted nba player of all time and the odds were "stacked against you"

give me a break

at least cleveland can shut up now and be more irrelevant now that they arent losers anymore. thats right, winning a championship will make cleveland more irrelevant in a cruel twist of fate.

shout out to Marc Jackson who gets no credit for building that warriors team. steve kerr basically got handed the keys to a Ferrari and people were like "wow! hes such a good coach!"

I could have coached that fucking team. im no bandwagon warriors fan, but im also not really a warriors fan. if you dont remember the Baron Davis warriors, you arent a warriors fan

All Jackson ever did was hold the warriors back. They had basically the same team with him as Kerr, and the results speak for themselves. If anyone deserves credit for building this warriors team is Larry Riley (who coincidentally shares a name with Steph's daughter).

So glad we don't have to constantly hear about curry's family now. So funny when his wife claimed the nba was rigged lol. I bet she's the most annoying bitch in the world when she's not on camera. Well she's already proven it. Claimed her family was racially profiled in Cleveland... lmao what a joke. Take your L and go home

Can't wait for the draft tonight! Buddy hield or Jamal Murray.. I'll be happy with either

And yeah shim, Kerr is the most overrated coach of all time. We all saw what happens when he's not there. Idk how you can say mark Jackson held them back when he's the reason they are relevant again, and got better every single year

shouts out to Marc Jackson, indeed

just read the hottest of all hot takes that said that there is no way the Western Conference can beat Lebron (Golden State could barely do it when his whole team was injured, OKC couldn't do it years ago) and that is why Curry & Co picked up Durant?

that might be the hottest of all hot takes, but I'll buy it. does Golden State or Durant make that move if they have ever beaten Lebron, fair and square?

Lebron always does that woe is me shit. he is a true diva. but I remember the day I learned to love Lebron James with all my heart. he was sitting there after practice in high school, and some Akron Beacon-Hot Taker says something like what's up with you driving that Hummer to school everyday?

Lebron just sorta smiled and was like oh yeah? you think that is going to hurt my draft stock??
