i reckon you should email her and ask. seriously. i's rather not give you her email addy directly but i am sure it is public information and can be found easily ;)

I have long believed that it is this cleanliness factor, or purity of a pill, which contributes to the massive variations in their effects on users. (along with dose and set/setting of course).....

Having no chemistry experience at all, I have no grounds to base this on, but I was under the impression that MDMA is MDMA, and you can't have clean/ dirty MDMA.

Are you saying that the precursors left in the powder/ pills, due to bad chemistry, is what makes different 'brands' of pills feel different?

Yes, possibly. Very little research has been done into the subjective affects that such contaminents would have, but it is undeniable that a great deal of the MDMA produced illictly contains unreacted chemicals.

To make a substance like MDMA, or anything really, you combine other substances and force them to interact with each other. This chemical reaction creates a new substance, but chances are not all of the initial ingrediants have reacted and are still present in their original forms. With something like MDMA the precursors can be some quite nasty things, so it is very important that the reactions are closely monitored, and that steps are taken to eliminate any left over precursors.

(This is all coming from me who has a very shakey grasp on organic chemistry. No doubt Biscuit or Phase_dancer will clarify things)
