1st time hang out w/ woman I know from convo's at CVS, asking her over 4 family xmas

I know this woman from CVS. We have talked about a dozen times from anywhere to two minutes to half and hour. Tomorrow(now today) is Christmas. I asked her what she was doing, just for the sake of conversation and she said nothing, she then asked "what do you want my number?" then gave it to me. She was very forward and very cool though. She is 32 and I am 24. I'll be honest. every time I've talked to her I was high (opiates,(I am prescribed the opiates for an injury).) and she knew because I told her. Obviously it didn't bother her. I asked her "What are you gonna be, damn," she laughed because it seemed very different from most interactions with her. I don't know if she recently got out of a relationship, was cheated on or something. She knows I have a drug problem I live with my mom, and I just don't understand why she likes me. She is attractive, not hot, but definitely cute. Honestly, that's not even what I care about I want a relationship but it seems like she is desperate in a way, it's almost unattractive, this happens to me sometimes and there's always something fucked up with the woman. I have my own issues but I don't know, the main question I am asking is since she is not doing anything for Christmas would it be weird to invite her over. I honestly don't think she would think it's moving to fast because it is not like I want her to meet my family or anything, I would obviously introduce her as a friend. I live my my mother and my aunt lives in the basement, I'm confused. I do like and I even if she is cutting me some slack she's still a woman and if I am too open I feel I could still fuck this up.
 
I wouldn't necessarily invite her over for Christmas. Why not go for coffee or lunch on a different day?
 
Yeah I wouldn't invite her for Christmas. I'd go on a date or two and seeing how those go before even bringing her to your house. Your mother and aunt will not see her as just a "friend" hahah and being Christmas and all it might seem like much for both of you. You got the number now treat her to something fun and casual or even lunch to see how those go. Since you've been talking a lot already should go great!
 
Yep I agree with the rest. Ask her out for dinner or coffee or something in the next couple days! :)

she sounds nice enough- OP 2 things you said " i dont understand why she likes me" and "she's desperate in a way".

stop hating on yourself and second guessing things. for someone living at their mums i would take what i could get within reason. maybe just maybe you happen to be hot but your low self esteem/bad current socioeconomic position makes you easy fruit on the tree of sex?...

LOL Sorry if it came off mean spirited. From what the OP said woman being 8 years older knowing about his living situation and "seeming desperate" she probably just wants a good pounding from a nice dick. I doubt she sees anything else longterm from it lol.

Basically I agree though OP needs to stop second guessing and take the woman somewhere they can have a casual fuck. His room, a car, public toilet, idk.. somewhere private lol
 
Thank you all for your responses. I got home texted her my number bc her phone was in her locker at work, an hour or so after I left the store. Then she texted me two hours later saying who is this? I called up the store and talked to her and told her it was my number. She was kinda like "I gave you my number already," it seemed like a shitty moment. She had just given me her number and i texted and called her within six hours. This only happens when I'm high. Anyway I called her once on xmas and once yesterday that was it. she works 12-8 at CVS so she could have been sleeping. She said last time "you can talk to me but not when you're high." Should I wait a few days clean up and get a pack of cigs and talk to her. She asked me what I was doing on New Years Eve, and I know have a party to go to. On the other hand would I be better off texting her something like "i was really messed up and thought I had the wrong number or apologize. I don't want to look desperate myself. Any help is appreciated

well ime it's a bit of a challenge to have sex on opiates so you probably need to choose between sex and drugs here lol.
