14 year old is ripped & bulky..wtf?

It's true. Slave owners would buy the strongest blacks, thus leading to those strong blacks having children with other "stronger" black women, leading to children with better muscle-related genetics. Repeat that a few generations, and you got yourself some good lifting genetics.

African american people typically have more red blood cells then whites so they do better at sports that require fast twitch muscles

i dont think they were bread like that through slavery

No disrespect, but just because your big does not mean you can fight.

I train with 140 pounders who would drop 200+pounders on they're head any day. I'm not big myself (165lbs) but would dance around a lot of people who haven't trained/people who aren't mixed martial artists.

just my .2

doing push ups will build a tremendous amount of muscle, especially if you're not eating
Lolwut push ups + not eating does not equal big muscles. Push ups and not eating much would just make your muscles really toned, but they would definitely not get bigger.

I don't see anyone claiming that there's a correlation between lean body mass and fighting ability. Manny Pacquiao could probably bang guys twice his size at least ten times before they even knew what him them.

As a general rule of thumb though, take two untrained men and the heavier person has an innate advantage because he has more leverage. Take someone who has a significant advantage in lean body mass, and he has a large advantage. All else equal, a trained weightlifter will be bigger and stronger than his counterpart who is untrained; thus, he will likely win in a fight. You might argue that the skills needed for fighting are much different than the skills that support weightlifting/bodybuilding, and you'd be right. No one is arguing that the better trained fighter will not win. However, assuming two people have an average fighting ability and holding all else equal, the bigger guy, and especially the more muscular guy, will win. He can generate more punching power and more leverage in grappling, which his opponent can only offset through superior fighting or superior wrestling. If he is evenly matched, the weight (and strength) advantage will decide the bout in favor of the weightlifter. In conclusion, weightlifters ARE generally favored to win fights. If you know anything about logic and you accept some basic premises, you will support that conclusion. The exception does not make the rule.

Abs and that ripped look is dependent on body fat. If you want 6 pack abs, it's all about lowering your body fat.
