K I have now been off a 400+mg hydro habit and 300mg habit of morphine a day. Everything is differently cool except the pain I was in is back and I can't sleep at all. I try to take cat naps when I can. But in two weeks I have got at least 7 hrs sleep. Any advice.

Have you tried any sleep aids (i.e. doxylamine succinate)?
A 400mg hydro and 300mg morhpine daily habit is no small feat to recover from. It may take longer before your body's functions return to normal.
Just don't go back to old reliable. You are on a bold path, stick with it.

Thanks yeah I did my research for sure on paws. Kind of strange. I got no cravings. As for the pain is from a accident. Problems with l4-l5 and herniated disc. I also quit cold Turkey. To lower my tolerance but I'm thinking of kicking the habit all together. I did always did CWE for the hydro. And I'm a iv user for the morphine. but if I could get one day of sleep that would work. Yeah I have tried sleep aid no go. But I figured if I did it natural my natural sleep pattern would come back quicker. Yeah I did take a bold path fuck the first three days where hell. If it wasn't for everybody input I probably never would of made it.

OP, I kicked a 4 month OC, and 2 month Heroin habit that ran consecutively to one another. I was doing about 80 to 120 mg of OC daily, and about 2 to 3 points of Heroin a day during their respective habits. This probably falls in the moderate habit category, I never really stepped it up because I don't enjoy getting totally fucked up. I was more self medicating for depression, and only indulged enough to feel better, so to say, although I realize in the long run this is contradictory.

Anyway I just wanted to give you some background, to the point here, it takes time. Physical withdrawl was not overbearingly difficult, but the mental effects took time. I remember the first four days I did not sleep ONE MINUTE. That's right, four entire days awake, NO SLEEP. I'd lay in bed for hours before I finally gave up. I don't think I ever got more than four hours of sleep in a night until about a month in. After 1.5 months I was sleeping pretty regularly, it just took me longer to fall asleep than with opiates, and I had a problem of waking up frequently. Melatonin really helped both of these issues, and after about two months I was sleeping pretty good again, I've always had somewhat of an issue falling asleep in my later years of life. After about three months I had my energy back, and I'd also like to point out that exercise makes a huge difference in how fast you recover. Wearing yourself out is a huge help in trying to get some rest. It will be excruciatingly difficult to recover, just keep track of the little improvements if you ever start feeling like it won't ever end. Expect the first month to be especially difficult my friend.

I'd like to point out that I still do occasionally use opiates, maybe a couple times a month, but I have far greater respect for them than before, and do not go on long binges anymore. Whether or not you're able to eventually use responsibly, or if you even want to ever do them up again is up to you, but undoubtedly you need a long period of abstinence from them before that is even a possibility. Using them at all before you're able to recover from the effects is just setting yourself back, so make sure to give your body plenty of time to replenish itself, and its natural cycles.

I hope I could be of a little help to you.

Keep up the good work!! I myself don't ever see myself clean and sober, but all the best to you!!!
