I was very surprised at how few people get dressed up for court. I don't think I ever wore a tie, but I had a nice collared shirt, khakis, nice shoes (not sneakers). Meanwhile most other people look like they rolled out of bed and came in. I thought dressing up was a respect thing. Like I respect the court, the judge, and the process enough to not look like a bum for a few hours.

Hadn't used anything in 10 days (sub) and hadn't used dope in 15 days. Bought some bags today, was a little disappointed in them. The dudes quality is usually better. They were decent, but usually if I've taken a break this dudes dope will get me lit if I bang up 1-2 bags. Sometimes even less than a bag if there was a long enough break. The dude was a little off today. I think he uses once in a while and he definitely seemed high or something today. I called him up and asked if he was around, told him I'd be in the spot and how much money I had. Then I drove there, sat there for ten minutes, called him back and had the same exact conversation with him. Least he came around after the second call.
It was really nice out today and I was looking kind of sharp with my clean white kicks and a white collared shirt. The pharmacy I go to get needles is pretty hood right on the corner of an intersection. There was a lot of people outside today, especially on the corner, so I was getting a lot of looks when I pulled up. I was getting eye-balled a bit walking back to my car carrying the small paper bag the pharmacy puts needles in, and I was very tempted to put a little swagger in my step and yell out, "It's Omar! Watch out Omar comin' y'all. Omar comin'!" I just been watching The Wire too much I guess. It probably would have went over most peoples heads, but I bet someone would have gotten the reference and laughed or shot at me, either or.
In a semi-related note. There has been a lot more people rocking red colors in the city over the last few years. In 08 there'd be some people, but a lot more people wearing something red now. Obviously they're not all gang-related, but the bloods are definitely getting big over here.
