10mg Methylphenidate (Insufflated) - Experienced - Are my reactions abnormal???

Thanks again charlesbronson! I have no training in pharmacology whatsoever, but my instincts tell me that I probably would have very similar reactions to those outlined in your post.

Unfortunately, I don't have any ongoing access to methylphenidate at the moment, so a full-on dosing regime is out of the question. But also, intense though the next few weeks will be, my thesis is actually going very well. But hey, if it goes well enough for the powers than be to grant me entry into postgraduate studies, I might try a proper dosing regime yet.

Good luck with all your work too. Don't forget to sleep! ;)

^Yes, methylphenidate is the active ingredient in the ADHD medications Ritalin and Concerta.

There is also the d-optical isomer of methylphenidate, called dexmethylphenidate, and that is the active ingredient in Focalin (thankyou to the good folks over at Advanced Drug Discussion. Black Octagon learns something new everyday!)

All of my experiences with ADHD medication have been from using Ritalin, except for one experience with Dexamphetamine a few years ago.

If you don't mind me asking MFV, which medications have you used? And which would you say has worked best for you (for increasing concentration, rather than for getting high)?
:)
