Greetings Earthlings,
Was chatting to a fellow life force today and were talking about 'the good ol days'..
When LP's were common, cartoons like 'Birdman' & 'SpaceGhost' were on TV along with 'H&R Puff N Stuff'....
We had pockets with $1 & $2 notes along side 1 & 2 cent pieces.....
The difference between being in 'Generation X' or the ' .Com Generation' really.....
Who else remembers these things in Australian life ???

Peace All

Daffy Ducks, small earthcore's, silk touch tracksuit pants, basketball boots, socks tucked into trakky daks, 20¢ worth of mixed lollies, chook raffles, bowls clubs that had real lawn, cars that were made from steel, grunge (my god, how big was grunge), the Gunners at Calder Park, and the Fitzroy Football Club.
I miss you all.

I like this post...lots of good memories...
Devon cream biscuits (does ANYONE else out there remember these??), Rainbow Brite and Care Bears, hypercolour clothing (thank goodness I didn't own any!!), for the girls- wearing two pair of flouro coloured socks and 'rolling them down', Michael Bolton

Sunnyboys when they used to be big triangular shapes, not those small shitty shapes they are now. And every 2nd one was a winner! Yellow writing inside going 'youve won a free sunnyboy'. I remember I won 4 in one day after each other at Altona primary school. wheeee
When pizza night was a 'night out' that was freakin expensive, not the cheap eat it is now.
Our prime minister was a (known) drunk.

Smurf ice-creams, Lillee and Thommo, 3-speed dragsters, Abbots Lager in steel cans... Delvine Delaney, driving home pissed and boasting about it, rampant homophobia.
I remember when they built a Safeway near home... and we were like: WTF is that?

That group..SNAP " I got the power!"
Movies like the breakfast club, and ferris bueler.... bueler.....bueler.....
And the music was VERY different. (although I must say, the old moosik is kewl, but today's music rocks!) It's all good, lalthough I think the kiddies today have lost touch with the imagination and joy of toys and are doing the computer thing too much! HOW CAN YOU BEAT building leggo cars with your brother and then ramming them into the wall...watching them shatter, only to build them again!
AHHHHH, the good old days!

anyone remember a show that used to be on channel 2, before Monkey magic I believe, and it was about this 'youth camp' that had kids visiting it regularly on camps etc...
And there was this group of hoodlums that had a cave in the park and used to stuff their faces on cream buns.. THey were 'sponsored' by the mayor, or someone that didn't like the camp kids, to destroy the camps activities etc,,,
WHo knows the name of it ??? hmmmmm
8-)
Other than that, you lot have provided me with a HUGE trip down memory lane,,, LOLOLL absolutely brilliant ,.,. well done..
