First off for some background, I've used 25i, DXM (both separately), Mescaline, MDMA and smoked weed daily for months at a time (only weekly at time of incident). I'm 19 and weigh just over 60kgs. Leading up to the trip I was in a relaxed though bored mindstate looking for some fun to pass another weekend with no parties or gatherings.
Being over a month since my last trip, which happened to be an incredible experience on over 400mgs of DXM, I decided it couldn't hurt to enter the depths of the dextroverse once again.
At midday I went to the local pharmacy and picked up a bottle that contained approx. 300mgs of DXM, enough for an entertaining upper second plateu trip mixed with some good MJ. On arriving home I preceded to clean my room in preparation for my trip during which I happened to stumble across a tab of 25i (who would've guessed?).
The tab would've been a few months old and looked a little tattered but for the most part alright considering (it hadn't been left inside a ziplock or anything). I was suspicious that the 25i had degraded somewhat but decided what the hell, a low does of 25i and DXM would be a bit of extra fun and shouldn't be anything my body couldn't handle (having done far larger doses of each separately).
7:15pm- No ones due to be home for the rest of the night so I decide to put the tab of 25i under my tongue. The distinct metallic taste is far weaker then usual and by 7:40 I spit out a tasteless tab not expecting much at all.
8:30pm- I waited over a good hour to feel the effects of the 25i before even going near the DXM and within the hour I wasnt really feeling anything at all, except maybe a slight apathetic shift of mindframe. Writing the 25i off as a dud I decided to go back to my original plan of action, chugged back my bottle of DXM and layed back in my room with some chill music.
9:00pm- I sparked up my joint I'd rolled earlier to help kick off my trip and within 20 minutes I was feeling the DXM quite strongly. As a matter of fact I was actually feeling it far stronger then usual and started getting a feeling something was quite off.
I was feeling very heavy like someone had cranked the gravity up a few notches and was feeling far more disoriented then I typically would off such a dose of DXM. I decided the little amount of 25i in my system was potentiating the DXM more then expected but didn't think it was a bad thing at this point.
9:30pm- With time perception flying out the window, and my room turning into a claustrophobic gravity compressor I made the typical DXM induced drunken stumble to my door for some freash air. It was outside the changes in my visual perception become more apparent, besides the occasional double vision everything looked closer and more defined.
Usually with DXM I'd experience all types of shifts in my depth perception but this time everything was uniformly close, from the night sky to the fence in my backyard. This gave a very uncomfortable feeling to the trip where I just wanted some space rather then a muddled up perception of everything in my face.
The body sensations were coming on even harder as I stood in my doorway and by now my balance was severely affected. I decided to go lie in my bed and hopefully get swept away from the discomfort of my body and vision by some good music.
9:45pm- finally lying down in bed I began focusing on the music (arguably DXM's greatest effect) but again something was off. Instead of the usual engrossing music experience I was expecting everything sounded distant and empty in an isolating and almost dysphoric way.
Without the distraction of music my attention came back to my body which was starting to feel extremely uncomfortable by this point. Besides the usual heart racing the intensity of the vascoconstriction was becoming frighteningly apparent, every inch of my body felt like it had been wrapped in wire pulled as tightly as possible.
Moving any limb was difficult and rigid and my body temperature was raised dramatically. I lay in bed praying the worsening side effects would soon pass.
10:00pm-12:30am- What followed was hours that felt like forever of crippling vascoconstriction, extreme disorientation, out of sync vision, hot flashes and distant empty music. My mind had become so full of dread the imagination enhancing properties of DXM only made the experience more dysphoric.
Shadows began taking on the shape of animals and the sinister "shadow people" and closing my eyes gave way to lucid but incoherent, visualizations of my life that almost offered an interesting sense of introspection but never fully developed due to my aching body pulling me back to the claustrophobic interior of my room.
At the most intense moments my flesh felt like it was trying it's hardest to suffocate my bones (it's as horrible as it sounds) and I was genuinely worried the vascoconstriction would kill me some how. The few times I got up to go toilet I felt like I was going to black out from such intense disorientation and light headedness or my legs would just shrivel up on me and I'd collapse.
12:30am-2:00am- Just past midnight I finally felt as though I was coming down though I was still in a state of total confusion and discomfort. Drinking lots of water where I could seemed to help the ease down and I actually came out of the worst of it quite abruptly. By 2:00am though still quite out of it I finally managed sleep.
In hindsight I was very stupid mixing two vascoconstrictors as I did and it goes to show the physical side effects even a very small dose of 25i can induce, had the tab been full potency I would've had very slim chances of waking up the next day.
I really hope no one is as dumb as me and tries this combination because even if you live to tell the tale it'll most likely be one overshadowed by some of the worst body sensations you've ever experienced. On a positive note the experience opened me up to the fact that no trip or drug experience is worth risking your body, life or mind for.
