I have two half-gallon jugs of BDO in my closet. I looked in the jugs and it seems about 5 inches down, it is frozen/crystallized. Any idea as to what this is?
 
It sounds like frozen BDO to me... what exactly do you want to know? It freezes at a relatively high temperature, just put it somewhere warmer if you want to keep it liquid.
 
1,4-Butanediol huh? I'd say store it in the sewage system by flushing it down your toilet. Nasty stuff.
