If the situation arose where I had to explain a situation like that then I will, but to just throw it in every singe kids face cause occasionally kids see it is just crazy, kids are to impressionable and we need to be careful what we teach then otherwise you might have a bunch of kids thinking theyr gay or trans when in reality they are just going through growing pains, wait haven’t there been an explosion since it’s become more normalized on tv, hmmnn
1. No one is "throwing it in every single kid's face". I have no idea what makes you think this. Even if you're exaggerating, that's still way too extreme.
2.
No one is so impressionable as to be tricked into thinking they're gay when they're not. This is an irrational fear. You can't make yourself gay anymore than you can make yourself straight. You just are what you are. I know I couldn't be gay; maybe you could, but I don't have that in me.
3. "An explosion since it's become more normalized." Do you have any data to back that up? I'd be interested in seeing that. But my guess is: this is just your own wild speculation and is only a reflection of your unnecessary, irrational fears.
I imagine fewer people are inclined to lie when self-reporting on questions/polls to attempt to determine the exact amount of gay people in the population, which is itself still rising.
No one's going to convert your kid, and again, while kids are impressionable, no one's going to make your kid gay or trans or what have you. But I do hope
your kid turns out straight for your sake. You might lose your goddamn mind otherwise, and that kid will have a really rough time coming out if you're still this intolerant by then. What would you do if that happens? Don't you ever worry that trying too hard to stop something will only cause it to happen?
Honestly, I'm not arguing with most of what you're saying. I don't care for drag queen culture and shows like RuPaul's drag race either. I actively ignore this stuff. Also, I don't care for any of "The Real Housewives of [City]" shows and I don't watch them. Or for example, I don't care for R&B music nor am I a country music fan. Accordingly, I don't listen to those kinds of music nor go to concerts featuring those sort of entertainers, ya feel me?
No one is suggesting that we have strangers explain sex to a class of eight year-olds on a pornographic level. In fact, I'm almost certain this is already against the law. Let's be realistic in what we're addressing here. And the idea that someone acting "sassy" and/or effeminate in front of a child could somehow alter anyone's sexual orientation is an illogical, irrational fear spun up in fearful minds. Relax. You're worrying about the wrong stuff that isn't even realistic.
