I can explain the rationality, if questions are 20 words or less, give or take

Who or what or why is upside down when they should be sideways or even perpendicular... and stuff? (That's 18.)

Read first 4 pages and skipped to post.

1) A boy, aged 10, pre puberty, says he is a she and wants hormonal treatment to block puberty and to transition to his claimed gender. Are you ok with that? Should the boy get hormones that block normal growth and make puberty not possible?

2) A girl, aged 8, pre puberty, tells her parents that she has alien pet friend that she can only see and theat she speaks regularly. The alien friend has not shown up in last few months as regularly as he told her he will. She doesn't want to be friend with him anymore and asks is there any drug that could do that for her. Should she be treated with antpsychotic medications so there is a lesser chance the imaginary friend will keep comming.

My view is that earliest time when one should be treated with hormonal therapy is when the puberty is a thing of the past. Also we don't let kids buy alcohol to treat anxiety and depression so we shouldn't let them make this kind of decisions. I would set the limit to 16 years old with parents being consensual and responsible for the outcome and whatever the age is set when you are allowed to vote in an elections for a person to do with his/hers/theirs body whatever the person wants.

That is my opinion. Thank you for reading. Have a nice day and take care!

Considering that the overwhelming number of pre-adults who identify as trans end up identifying as their birth gender in their 20's, that's reason enough to forbid radical body alterations until they reach age of majority. Not only is it still happening though, but many districts are creating laws which forbid parents from interfering in their children being altered.

There is no long-term scientific data about what these pre-adult treatments are doing to youth. The data is non-existent. A whole generation is being experimented on based on gender ideology, when we know that true gender dysphoria affects 1/10,000 - 1/16,000 individuals. The universities are to blame. PhD sociologists (a.k.a professional useless people) have been peddling trans and intersectional theory for over a decade now, when there is no science to back it up. It's so that they can get funding through virtue signalling. How many sociology PhDs are doing studies into the long-term effects of gender reassignment on children? The answer is next to none because anyone who tried would get their funding pulled and called transphobic.

Either there were way more trans people than we ever thought possible or there is major institutional bias taking place. It's not hard to figure out which it is.

Furthermore, gender reassignment is only a treatment for gender dysphoria, it's not a cure. The literature is very clear on the fact that more than half of trans people who get reassignment still suffer mental health challenges for the rest of their lives, some of them worse than pre-transition because they come to realize that the surgery doesn't heal their psyche.

So I'm wondering why we are doing experimental alterations on the bodies of youths using "therapies" that don't even cure the problem, when we could just as easily let them grow up and figure out if it's what they really want once they are fully mature adults. How hard is it? And I get that there's a certain logic to transitioning as early as possible so that you can look as authentic as possible. Like if you're a boy who wants to be a girl then getting female hormone therapy before your male features develop will suppress as much maleness as possible. But given how rare real trans people are according to the psych literature, it means we are taking huge risks with a statistical majority of children who are more than likely not trans whatsoever. They are just going through a phase but their bodies will be mutilated for life.

If you're an adult who wants to undergo all this, be my guest. I don't think children have the capacity to know what they're doing. If a child can't get a tattoo or vote then they can't understand what chemical castration or mastectomy is going to mean because they can't yet fathom what it means to be an adult. The people pushing this agenda, especially in schools, are unethical at best and sociopathic at worst.

I learned about bisexuality at the age 15, and it still took another 8 or so years before I openly identified as such. Not because I doubted my sexuality: I clearly liked both, but because I was afraid for (violent) backlash from my highly conservative religious family and their community.

Had you polled me in primary school, high school or university, I would have self-reported as straight. Ask me now, and I will openly identify as bi.

Does this mean that I was straight for the first 23+ years of my life?

I'm bisexual.

LGBTQ awareness did not cause my bisexuality

Didn't cause mine either. Never said anything to the contrary.

Does this make sense to you in anyway, or does it come off as gibberish to you?

Nothing you've said comes across as gibberish. I just chose earlier to stop engaging with you because you passive-aggressively called me an idiot and then refused to own it. Now - again - you're asking me if something perfectly straight forward makes sense.

Yes, it makes sense but I still disagree with you.

You've shifted from trans stuff to bisexuality. They're different topics.

Bisexuality doesn't involve hormone treatment or surgery.

Bisexuality also exists.

Spot on, I wanted to be a raptor when I was a kid, good think I didn’t have surgery to make me look like a raptor cause I would be regretting it, he’ll I regret most of my tattoos I got as a teen…

The problem is they are trying to look at kids as adults when their minds are so far from the mind of adult it’s really insane that anyone would buy into it

IMO a very high percentile of you in this thread (and other gay and trans ones) are so deluded, its often coined as, being so full of shit. Please take a moment or all the time you deem fit for yourself to get all pissy at opinions that are not of your own and keep attempting to always one up and very seemingly, actually most obviously, you will be more concerned about what your butt buddies think as you circle jerk each other off, all the while as you vomit up so many of your grandiose statements, self-serving lame ass farcical aspects of your ideals of the human condition in its many forms, it really is shameful but IMO you're blind to anything but your own narrow views, thoughts and no to little room for anything but your asinine constant blocks of BS posts

Teaching young children about your sexual preferences, kinks, genders, positions, etc is creepy and insane to normal people. It just is what it is, I guess that makes me a prude to liberals 🤷🏿‍♂️
No one is suggesting this. You're going overboard with your imagination in an attempt to make what you see as your political/ideological rivals look bad. Describing unnecessary sexual details, sexual kinks and sex positions to children of any age is unequivocally not okay, and I can't think of a good reason why anyone would do this. If this is what you think is being suggested, then that is "creepy and insane", and not at all "normal."

Now let's say your son or daughter has a question one day about why so-and-so in their class has two dads or their friend XYZ has two mommies. I don't think it's gonna fuck up anyone's psyche to explain to them that sometimes people of the same sex date each other and get married, and also it's normal for a child to have different parents or guardians – sometimes there's only one single parent, sometimes a child is adopted and raised by foster parents because something happened to their original parents for whatever reason. All of this is okay and what's really important is love, happiness, and support, which is what family should be there to do: support and help one another. If you can't handle this sort of thing, or you're confused by this subject matter and think everything that makes you slightly uncomfortable is "creepy and insane" then don't have kids. If you already have them, time to grow up and take care of your responsibilities.

To summarize, there are too many different ideas in people's heads of what "talking to children about sex" actually verbally entails. Some people appear to be imagining the most extreme and inappropriate versions of this based on political agendas and absolute nonsense. We're actually on the same page here, let's not spoil that with stupid-ass policial squabbling, especially when you don't even have the right target.

So just to be clear, you're saying that straight people who accept and are not scared of gay people and trans people are close-minded?

If the situation arose where I had to explain a situation like that then I will, but to just throw it in every singe kids face cause occasionally kids see it is just crazy, kids are to impressionable and we need to be careful what we teach then otherwise you might have a bunch of kids thinking theyr gay or trans when in reality they are just going through growing pains, wait haven’t there been an explosion since it’s become more normalized on tv, hmmnn

I never called you an idiot, nor implied it. Plenty of bright non-idiotic people out there don't know how to differentiate between the two, and then there's plenty of smart people who don't know shit about statistics.

Yes, my tone was getting snarky because I was getting tired of your fucking leaps. And you're doing it again.

You're filling in insults on my behalf and getting worked up about it.

The fact that you think people who don't know those definitions are idiots, is a you problem.

Don't put that on me. I don't measure idiocy by vocabulary.
