you have to be pretty fucking stupid to have your dmt "lab" blow up.

I hate reading this shit. Damn everyone keep your shit on the low. If you have half a brain a dmt extraction takes like 3-4 days, do it up quick and then dismantle your "lab" (or dismantle your pickle jars;)), smoke on your stash for the next 6 months (don't sell any) and repeat. I have a feeling that this "lab" wasn't even in the process of operating, he probably finished the extraction and didn't know what to do with the lye water/thin layer of naptha so he just (stupidly) had his jars laying around.

it's so frustrating, i feel like its just a matter of time before minamosa hostilis is illegal and then people are going to have to do a slightly more difficult tek....good thing dmt is in so many different plants
 
Mimosa hostilis root bark is already illegal. Just like opium poppy pods. Just because you can buy something on eBay doesn't mean it's legal.
 
A few things stood out to me.

Factory, loud industrial sounds and all man.. That statement right there, if your insightful enough, it shows elitism!!! As if that neighborhood is fucking special, and as if dmt is fucking horrible. You horse shoe throwers... I am very inferior to you, lol!! I'm not even goinna bother getting mad from this, but instead just laugh at their stupidity and ignorance!! Ignorance is a word I see too much lately... But yeah, I will just laugh because I know that I'm infact not as stupid as them, and infact not so stupid to get my kicks outta throwing horse shoes.

New Haven (WTNH) - A psychedelic drug that hasn't been seen by law enforcement for decades appears to be making a comeback. One man was arrested Thursday on charges he was making DMT, or Dimethyltryptamine, inside his New Haven home.

Ryan Canfield, 32, was arraigned in New Haven Superior Court Friday morning following the massive drug bust at his Woodward Avenue home. Detectives found three kilos of DMT with a street value of about $3 million in the basement of the home. The drug is a hallucinogenic, similar to LSD, and comes in crystallized powder which can be smoked, or in liquid form which can be drunk. It's called the 'businessman's trip' because the high only lasts about 45 minutes.

"You take it, maybe about a half hour, you trip for a half hour and then you're fine, they would go back to work, on their lunch break, take a hit of it and go back to work," explained Detective Matthew Merced, New Haven Police Department.

Like methamphetamine, the process to the make DMT is very dangerous since the chemicals are highly combustible. A special DEA team from Boston was called to New Haven to help disassemble the DMT lab.

"It's definitely not something we want to catch on in New Haven, let alone anywhere in the state," Detective Merced said.

Police say Canfield downloaded directions from Internet.

"This is something anybody can make, high school kid, an 8th grader can pull this off the Internet," said Detective Merced.

It's believed to be the first DMT lab bust in the state.

"Prior to this, I hadn't heard of it either so I hope it's not an emerging drug," Detective Merced said.

While in court today, News Channel 8 learned that this is not Canfield's first brush with the law. He has a federal conviction for counterfeiting and prior drug convictions in Massachusetts. In fact, he had two weeks left of probation and is likely to be remanded to Massachusetts.

Another resident of the home, 33-year old Timothy Dawson was arrested Thursday for interfering with a search warrant, as well as a woman. We don't know her name of the charges she faces.

Wasn't that a BL'er? If I'm remembering correctly, there's a thread around here someplace about that incident....his setup exploded and he said he suffered major 3rd degree burns and got high off of the DMT fumes at the same time, lol.

i love how it says that dmt can be "drunk." The people who write this stuff have no idea. But, damn, 3 kilos, thats pretty wild. Also, where did they come up with the 3 mil street value?
 
the poor people who suffer from incidents like this. i wish the media and people throwing around propaganda would cease or throw out some real facts instead of filler and lies.

you've obviously never gone on a DMT bender... i mean i usually stay up all night on 'em but i used to take trips into the zone between classes in college. it's like crack but instead of anxiety-riddled agony DMT leaves behind a relaxed feeling of genuine happiness.

If you take it and trip for a half hour and they you're fine, then why must you be arrested??? That doesn't sound dangerous at all.

So why is this guy a detective if he had never heard of a schedule I drug? It really infuriates me when the people investigating/prosecuting are ignorant.

well you know, since they apparently invented a new type of orally active super-dmt, they had to charge a thousand bucks a gram................ maybe that's what they needed the extra 'cooking' process for =p

Could you please post a link to the thread or a news story? I searched but couldn't find it. I'm curious how someone can blow himself up extracting DMT, unless he was doing it in industrial quantities.
