OK, these were on sale today and looked mighty tasty:
So, I'm going to give tweex's protocol a whirl in the next couple days and will report back. I'm not much of an edibles person because I usually find it too hard to titrate the dose (read: can't keep tasty noms out of my mouf), but it seemed like the easiest way to ensure a (mostly) consistent dose between trials. I briefly thought about buying gelatin capsules, but it seemed like a hassle, so I'm going to make some ghetto parachutes out of rolling paper instead to contain the ibuprofen/placebo. Better living through evidence-based chemistry.
Edited to add: I took the digit span test 3 times at http://www.cambridgebrainsciences.com/my-scores/test/id/digit-span, my baseline scores were 8, 8, and 9.
