Out of all the drugs I've done in my life; all the fucked up combinations of things I've tried; still, to this day has nothing really blown my mind more than a good old Robotrip.
I've had quite a few trips under my belt, many of them were very life-changing and appreciable to this day. But for better or worse, they still pale in comparison to my times sipping that disgusting cherry syrup that I stole from the grocery store. (you're not doing it right unless you shoplift it)
That initial feeling of mindless relaxation when it comes on to you. The soft, warm blanket of euphoria that covers my head and body. The feeling of pure bliss of tranquility that invades my naturally pessimistic mind - releasing me from the shackles of pessimism and doubt and reminding me that everything is going to be okay. I close my eyes and see a wonderful array of colours and shapes of the Buddha unlike anything I've seen under a serotonergic psychedelic. At it's peak, I am truly there under the Bodhi tree with him. The next day's afterglow is serene, and I would have more good things to say about it if I didn't get some of the worst brainfog ever from it. DXM is almost perfect.
Despite everything, it is the one substance I do not daydream of regularly anymore; maybe it's the fact that I'm trying not to fuck my kidneys with all that guaifenesein (cough tablets are increasingly hard to acquire in my city) - or simply because I've found other things that I can actually mix. (DXM does not mix well with most things)
Whatever it may be, DXM will always have a seat at my table.
