Ok, so I am on Qelbree 100mg and I am having the worst insomnia from it…

My Psych Provider told me to take Zyprexa for the insomnia but when I went to work the next day I was very slow and I ended up taking too long on a very time sensitive task.

So what would be my best option for a sleep med??

I already tried hydroxyzine as well, and it barely worked…

I've survived a lot of psych meds over the years.

Qelbree was an absolute dumpster fire. 🔥 The dumpsters that haven't been picked up for 10 years. It almost had me sending apology texts to people I'd never even offended.

Insomnia. Depression. Feeling like complete garbage.

0/10.

Wouldn't recommend it to the person who invented unskippable ads.

Ok, well. They can have it. But... blaaah!!

how long have you been on it? i had some mild insomnia from it when i first started it and when i would have a dose increase but never for more than a couple days.

depending what other meds you’re on trazodone is a common sleep med, my partner takes a high dose of it nightly and it works well for them. i have lower dosed trazodone pills i take as needed for sleep. doesnt always work but i cant take too high a dose of it. mirtazapine is pretty common too, my ex was on it for insomnia and it worked well for them. tho with any sleep med you may wanna try and give it like a week before you write it off due to side effects. i’ve never tried a med for sleep that didn’t make me extra groggy the next morning the first couple times i took it. obvi it’s person by person tho and depends how bad it messes with you next day. i try to give new meds a couple days to a week to stabilize and let my body adjust before writing them off for side effects- tho ofc sometimes they’re just too bad to try and wait out.
