The alcohol + salt should have worked but you didn't give it enough time.

What you want to do is fill it up with salt and then put it into a zip-lock baggie. Double bag it in case the first one springs a leak. After that you want to pour in 90% rubbing alcohol (not 70%). Shake it then put it away somewhere. Let it sit in the alcohol for a few days. Shake the bag two or three times a day. It should clean up nicely if you give it more time.

I've never cleaned out a meth pipe but this method works for the glass I used to smoke weed and other things. I did dabble with some RCs and a glass dick one time and the pipe cleaned up fine when I used the above method. I wanted to make sure it was totally clean before I tried another RC.

After the alcohol+salt bath for a few days to week take the pipe out. Run water through it to get all the salt out. Rinse it then let it dry. It should look like the its never been used after that. If there are a couple of stubborn resin spots left you can use bamboo or any other type of strong wood to scrape them out. They should come out very easily. It will not hurt the glass if you use wood to scrape it.

Whatever you do don't boil it. You can easily crack and it will weaken the glass. Boiling a pipe does clean them well and quickly but you shouldn't do it with glass.

A wee bit of isopropanol and a cotton bud should clean it up in no time at all.

A q tip with rust remover or liquid fire. You could put it in a cup with some water and a little bleach and microwave it. Use a torch...

I used to know a guy who had an old kettle he would put his meth pipe in when it was dirty then get the kettle to boil with the dirty pipe in it, once it reaches boiling temp and stops he fished out his sparkling clean pipe every time.

Hi folks,

I'm using a typical meth pipe to smoke some #3 dope from time to time, and obviously the pipe gets dirty after every use.
I would like to clean it after using so I can see the dope i'm vaporizing and I'm not smoking pre-burnt stuff every time; but the trails of the dope are really hard to wash.

I have been trying with alcohol + salt, closing both holes with the fingers of one hand and shaking as hard as I can for some minutes, also tried to do the same with acetone.
The results are bad, I can just clean a little superficial layer of the dirt, the majority keeps sticked to the pipe. Then I scratch with a metal thin stick to slowly make it come off.

Scratching I can make it clean but it takes ages, so I was wondering what chemical or what method can I use to wash it fast and effectively?
