I think that is funny, because I left social media but then after some time opened a reddit account, but now i got pretty much sick of reddit so i opened an account here.
I'd be happy if they don't shut this down now anytime soon..

Bluelight will be gone in 10 years the only thing that will exist is AI Reality, everywhere you go, everyone you meet, everything you do, the internet, all will AI generated.

Well, that I would call a pretty bleak outlook, if i've ever seen one, let's hope you are at least somewhat wrong.

That's the Matrix, I'm going to Zion right now, not only are they space age freedom fighters, they do some really cool primitive hippy dancing too.

I joined in 2014 as I suffered under the weight of a morphine addiction. 10 years flies by in retrospect, although many days have crept their way down the great hallway leading to the great hole in the sky as seen in my profile pic.

Yes it will def exist in ten years.

I disagree. I have been a bluelighter since 2004 when I was just 18 , making that 22 long years. I'm willing to put my penis and manhood on it still being here in 10 lousy years

If Elon Musk is right in 10 years we will be completely AI automated and living in a post scarcity economy where we can have anything we want without money. I wonder if that will include drugs. Might make a difference how people would post on Bluelight in a post drug scarcity world.

I don't see a post drug scarcity world, it's geographic and economic trade is too lucrative

I sincerely hope BL doesn't become redundant, it was sad to see my dnb forum shutdown, sometimes I would visit it's grave on the internet archive

And I love the fact that if in 10 years, Bluelight still exists, we will be able to read these posts, and consider whether our past selves had good insights, or not!
This is my favorite part..

Go to the Best of Bluelight sometime (more directing this at other posters and lurkers, less at you @Tronica ) and read posts from 1999 or 2000... you can start to pick up on the subtle differences between the relationships those users had with the internet and their 'real' lives.... it's a living timecapsule of a time before now and a record of those who have come before, still are, and will be. It's magical in that way.

You can see the optimism of the turn of the century, fueled by MDMA and the emerging technologies creating the internet we now participate in daily. Back then it was niche and counter-cultural, devoid of capital. Bluelight is a remnant of that purity, and remains a true community despite and in spite of the commodification of the internet. It remains by, for, and of the users. No profits over people.

You are very insightful and articulate. I really enjoy reading you!❤️

Merci beaucoup! I appreciate your thoughtfulness!
Vous êtes le bienvenu!

I’m very sapiosexual so I notice lol just saying.

And when people try to make you feel like you’re too much….just tell them to go find less

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
