Calling old fart bluelighters

Hiatus ~10 years.
Midlife crisis time for me. Back reaching for the lasers in my 40s. I thought I was done in my early 30s. But sometimes life takes you in unexpected directions.

Some of my dearest friends are people I met through BL. This place truly changed my life. Still makes me chuckle a bit to think we organised a snow trip back in 2003 with a bunch of BLs who mostly hadn't met each other!

So glad to see you found the archives. I am just excited that we have been able to keep this place going given so many forums have disappeared. Touching so many people's lives in good ways over the years is a legacy I'm proud of.
 
It's huge that this place is still going. Well done!
My other favorite haunts of my rave era, Teknoscape and Inthemix are long since retired.

Goodness we have to have known each other given I also had accounts on those communities in the early-mid 2000s in particular. But also thescene.com.au!
 
Possibly. I was more of a lurker than poster on them.
Maybe we breathed the same medic spray filled air in a venue back in 2002.
 
Friend's birthday I met through here this week. We spoke about bluelight/days/music (lots of Melbourne techno + trance stuff from 90s+00s making a come back) ! I saw BigTrancer out recently along with a couple other bl'ers! Still some of the best peeps I know, 2 decades+ later
 
One of my work colleagues (they are in Sydney) told me they were a candy raver in the 2000s and used to use Bluelight for info and pill reports. I continue to meet people that this site has touched in some way!

C'mon Everyone knows what ' old fart ' is. It's the oldest thing in the book. Lool.

We all have to make it somewhere.

Wazzaaaaaa! I have not forgotten to reply, life has been lifeing, will expand in DM

26 years for me too, a bucket load of lessons (experiences and people), but i am so thankful for my health and the village of people I still count as best beloveds from these baby blue bulletin boards. Ive had the chance to meet interstate and international members on my travels now, and the friendships of folks I've not even met are so precious to me. (Someone is cutting onions, i need my onion goggles)
