America needs libertarianism

it could only be considered a highly watered down version of "socialism" if that. The only things I've realized Obama "push" for is a war in Pakistan, support for these Libyan rebels and the ongoing pleasure of the state of Israel. As of now there is still no such thing as "universal healthcare" in the United States. His "jobs" and "education" speeches are not convincing me.

I'll run this one out there again. If he leaves his own brother to wallow in a scrap metal shack I doubt he's for any other poor working man or real social programs.

That could never exist. Socialism is universality without its symptom. It could NEVER exist, the very notion is for a lack of a better term; retarded.

So what? Moore hates america? Why? And if so, does he hate the government or the americans?

People don't understand. It's not about systems. It's not about capitalism beeing bad, socialism beeing bad or facsism or whatever. How about we all sit together, look what we made wrong all the years, use our intelligence if we have some and find something better. We aren't just countries anymore. The internet showed us, that there are no boundaries between people. The government just makes these boundaries. And it's not about the US. It is like that everywhere.

You have to understand that this is OUR world. We live on one planet and we have to act like that. We don't need to vote for 200 people to represent millions. Everyone has a voice and many have good ideas.

You guys are fighting about socialism, capitalism, libertarianism but you don't understand why these systems don't work. It is because of us. In every system is a security hole where one person could get more power then others. On the global money system one gets more power the more money he has. That's a security hole. We not only have to make new systems but we have to change ourselves first. And we have to look, plan and think if their might be flaws somewhere else.

We are part of one organism. Earth. If we fuck up, we fuck up together.
 
Since you posted something actual. Yeah, that's still capitalism "with a human face". It's still not even remotely similar to socialism (though it is called such). It's just a mangled version of capitalism. And most of the policies have been in place throughout most of the industrialized Nations since WWII (including America) and are being dismantled by idiots through liberalization.

the bank bailouts were just that--they bailed out the banks, they kept them afloat. they gave them trillions of public money, with no strings attached, and no regulations to prevent another similar catastrophe. that's not socialist, that's expanding failing capitalist institutions.

the healthcare bill was socialist? haha, i wish 8) it retains the current insurance structure, the costs will still rise. he gave the public option lip service but that was it.

what's so bad about "redistributing wealth"?

Its also interfering with the free market, we should have let them fail and somebody else will take their place who won't make the same mistakes(like giving home loans to people who can't afford them). The bailouts were just a waste of taxpayer money.

I don't want to give away half of my money just because some leech on welfare wants a raise or free healthcare.

This is just a hunch......but if you're "movin' weight", I bet you pay no taxes at all right now. If this assumption is correct, you are the leech right now, getting free public services without paying a dime into the system.

And in the remote possibility that you do earn a legit $360k+ per year and are movin' weight on top of that, that's just plain foolish.

The reality of the situation is that (assuming this forum consists of a random sampling of people), few if anyone here will ever earn that amount annually, in their lifetime.

Yes I did, that's why I called it a hunch. The sentiments and assumptions in my post can be extrapolated to include anyone who is "movin' weight." I'm sure Vlatrone can fend for him/herself and has every opportunity to retort.

You should probably feel a little embarrassed for dropping the 's' bomb when discussing US policies, especially under Obama.

If anything, Obama has been heavily criticized by his own constituents and administration for failing to have a backbone and push a democratic agenda. It's like I'm reading some message out of a time warp from 3 years ago when there was an actual chance Obama might do something revolutionary.
