I was having my birthday hoorah last night, and a friend picked me up some shit on the way to the party. When he got there, I crushed up 1 + 1/2 and set it under my tongue. I wake up this morning to the underside of my tongue being VERY sore. I understand its from MDMA + binders being big molecules and they are going to tear up my mouth a little entering my blood stream. Does anyone have any remedies or things that just generally help with mouth soreness?

MDMA can cause jaw grinding and clenching. The binders aren't "big molecules" and don't tear up your mouth when entering your bloodstream. I believe taking Vitamin C should help as you probably won't clench as much with that in your system.. Some ravers use pacifiers though that might be a little strange for some people.

It can also cause you to want to chew excessively to satiate the desire and some people chew on their tongues because of this.

My jaw muscles are fine, but there is a sore under my tongue from when I sublingually ingested the pills. The molecules are "soaked" into the capilaries at the bottom of your mouth, but they have pass through tissue mass to get there. And that's where damage was done. I had been having some stress related digestion problems, causing very bad nausea, so no go on oral ingestion. These problems are also causing a lot of diarrhea, which ended up giving my a hemroid. So no plugging was going to happen either. It's not an open wound (thank god) but still fairly painful

I highly doubt that any sores in your mouth are caused by "big molecules". It's just a whole different level of size. I don't think you appreciate how small molecules really. I drop the whole "big molecule" theory, if I were you.

The sores in your mouth are most likely caused by "gurning" (the way MDMA affects your jaw area). You can pre-load on magnesium in order to reduce MDMA induced jaw clenching.

Btw, plugging bypasses the whole food subsystem, so if you plug MDMA, it should actually reduce nausea and diarrhea.

I don't think I'm being understood here.

Yesterday, before taking the pills, there was no sore under my tongue (Not to be confused with soreNESS)

Today, after putting the pills under my tongue, there is a very pain senitive area under my tongue.

Obviously, a bit of damage was done to the tissues under my tongue. It's not jaw-clench sorness. It's swelling and major sensitivity in a very localized area. The left side of underneath my tongue where I let the crushed pills dissolve to e exact. The tissue under my tongue is scabbed. I'm sorry I'm not making this clear enough. There are threads on here on the topic of sublingual ingestion, and how you can develop open sores under your tongue. Not soreNESS. But a wound. A sore.

My mere question is, is there anything I can do besides pain meds to take care of the problem? Any tricks on helping reduce the swelling and maybe hurt less? I'd like to be able to eat food without some of it going under my tongue and aggrivating the damaged area. And I guess to correct my terminology, I have a minor ulcer on the bottom of my mouth. You know, where a hole begins to develop? Except in this case, it is very minor. Hurts like a son of a bitch but I don't taste blood or anything.

And as a side note, I understand plugging would help witht he nausea and all of that. But if you actually read what you quoted, I have a hemroid from my digestive problems. Have you ever tried to shove something up your ass with part of your bum hole turned inside out? Neither have I, and I don't want to.

Theres no need for the attitude; as a general rule it is a good idea when posting to not disregard advice 'if you know better', otherwise whats the point in asking the question?

If you are that determined to believe sublingually absorbing your crushed up pills gave you those sores, then you consumed a powdered form of hydrocholoric acid, kay?

On the other hand if you are willing to be reasonable, you are more likely to have unknowingly cut yourself with the pill powder by not properly crushing the pills, or something like that. I've had bombs dissolve on my tongue more than a half dozen times, and I've never been left with scabbing and such to my tongue.

All of the times I've rolled, I've either plugged or eaten. Plugging would hurt because of my hemroid I developed, and the nausea associated with my come up from eating them would have made me puke. Not the end of the world, but I'd like to avoid it. I decided to try sublingual because there are a few people on here who swear by it. And the one time I try this unfamiliar method of ingestion, I develop a pretty minor, but pretty painful ulcer none the less.

I'm not getting into semantics. I put them under my tongue, and now there is a very minor flesh wound. I'm only asking if out of those who have experienced this, if they know anything I can do to help it out in any way, shape, or form. It was merely a question, and I'm merely expecting an answer. "Never heard of sores from sublingual ingestion, and there's nothing I'm aware of that you can do right now. Do you think maybe there was something else in those pills?" would have been fine.

And this is why I hate the internet, because rebuttles are usually misinterpreted as arguing. I'm frustrated that this keeps getting confused with jaw clench soreness, but I'm not mad or anything at anyone here. Can I do anything, or no?

IDK why no one has helped you here... my apologies for my fellow bluelighters. What you have is most likely a chemical burn of some kind caused by a cut in your MDMA, no one can tell what it is without testing but it could be methamphetamine or piperazine

Thanks, Folley. I didn't feel cracked out, or speedy. The high was very mellow. Quite nice, actually. It felt like a very clean and relaxing roll. Is there a chance that binding agents not designed for sublingual ingestion caused the burn? And is there anything else I can do except not to fuck with it and try not to eat sugary or salty food to keep it from being irritated further?

^ I think pure MDMA can do the same also.

He knows it's a chemical burn guys. He's asking for a remedy...

Try using some listerine, that will kill any minor infection that may be causing further irritation.

Time will heal it...

See I KNEW I heard from somewhere MDMA can cause this type of reaction on certain tissues as it passe through into your bloodstream. Idk why I didn't think to say chemical burn but I didn't mean for my lack of vocabulary to offend anyone. Thank you for those who DID try and actually help, and sorry to those who felt offended by the communication gap. You can go ahead and close this thread now. That's all I needed to know. I'll Listerine the hell out of it and watch how much I put under my tongue from now on

Lion's Mane mushrooms man. Check out this excerpt from an article -

"Lion's Mane is certainly gaining more attention than what it used to
because of its ability to ward off dementia. Perhaps this is why it
has been used as a treatment for some of the world's most difficult
diseases for centuries. At one time, Chinese tradition only allowed
Lion's Mane to be eaten by Emperors. This shows how the effect of the
mushroom was already known by Chinese doctors. They used Lion's Mane
to help relieve issues involving the digestive tract such as duodenal
ulcers and stomach ulcers. The mushrooms were also given to those with
cancers of the esophagus, the duodenum, and of the stomach.

These effects are due to the beta glucan polysaccharides, or complex
sugars, along with fatty acids and polypeptides. All of these have a
lot to do with the curative effects. Also contained within Lion's Mane
is oleanolic acids and adenosine. These stimulate the modulation of
the immune system and the induction of interferons. These processes
boost the number of white blood cells to help in healing processes.
The healing of ulcers is accelerated, gastric mucus barrier function
is enhanced, and anti-inflammatory effects are exhibited."

That's pretty cool. I'll make a mental note of these mushrooms, as my mom chronically gets stomach ulcers. I may or may not inherit that, but either way it will help one or both of us. Thanks for this.

Hey man, I'm glad you found the answer. I learned something as well so your post was helpful. I hope you heal up okay.

Definitely. I know it will be fine, it just blows right now haha. Live and learn right?

I get sores in my mouth from the actual rolling, because of how dry my mouth is + the constant grinding of the teeth and chewing on my tongue and sides of my cheek and what not. It goes away very quick, for me.

I've never considered it could be a chemical burn, I've taken pure MDMA exactly how you described, as well.

OP is describing a sore spot under his tongue where he was holding a pill. Under the tongue tends to be very very sensitive to that kind of chemical burn

Yeah, I know what you mean. I hate when the sides of my tongue get really chaffed and those white bumps you can get from dehydration can rub one of your molars the wrong way and... yeowzah.

And maybe using the term chemical burn makes the injury sound way more extreme than it really is. But I guess a chemical (More often than not, a chemical with a bigger molecular structure) being soaked into your tissues and causing damage to your cells falls under the definition. And from what I've read, some people get them from MDMA and some people don't. And even if you ARE prone to getting them, it still doesn't happen often. I think what happened is Ive never administered MDMA (or anything for that matter) sublingually, and 1 + 1/2 pills worth of powder at once was probably a bit much on top of it. Too much for my virgin mouth to handle on it's first time haha

Try rinsing your mouth with a solution of ½ teaspoon salt dissolved in 8 ounces of water.

Another mixture that may be helpful consists of 1-2 tablespoons of Maalox mixed with ½ tablespoon of liquid diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Swish a teaspoonful in your mouth and spit it out. This can be done four times a day. Make sure that you do not swallow the mixture, and be careful when using this remedy with children since the Benadryl can cause toxicity.

Liquids or ointments with a numbing ingredient such as benzocaine (Anbesol, Oragel, Orabase, Zilactin-B, Tanac) help relieve the discomfort of canker sores. It is important to be careful not to use more than the recommended amounts per day to avoid toxicity.

He isn't asking about clenching. And magnesium is what you would take to reduce clenching. He is asking why his tongue is sore where the MDMA was put sublingually.

Salt water - soluble painkillers (gargle and spit out) - medicated mouth sprays etc are all good for painful sores in the mouth (however they are caused). Instead of leaving the pill under your tongue (sublingually) then just swallow the pill. If your looking for a faster come up - crush it up and then swallow the powder.

I wouldn't expect that the pressers of ecstasy tablets take into consideration that people will be taking the pills in this manner so they won't be using binders that wont damage or irritate the lining of your mouth.
