^^Your concern seems very genuine and is much appreciated.

It's not that I want the rush so much (and yes of course I do quite a bit) but I'm also thinking that IV, hell when I see him on 7-13 I'm going to ask for Dilaudid-HP (10mg/ml). It is meant for injection, both IV and IM, and I believe I can get it with a little coaxing. At that point I will gladly stick to IM use. It really bothers me that the bioavailability is so low with this. I feel like I'm wasting over half of it. I think injection would help make it last much longer than it does (I'm on a bi-weekly basis and run out in one week, the second week sucks).

Yeah, I totally get that. In fact, I sometimes nearly drive myself crazy wishing I was back on Fentora and Opana because now I could get so much more out of them. And I've done the rationalizing thing of: "if I shoot it up, I'll actually be using less, and it'll last longer".

Perhaps I'm a bit more sensitive to the judgmental Dr. issue because I am an MD, but stopped practicing when I got very sick. But all my freaking Drs are my former co-workers and so perhaps I'm paranoid. But you should hear MDs talk about addicts. The only people they're crueler to, or as cruel to, are heavy people.

Anyway, I'm glad you took my concern for what it is and not condescension.

Given your eyesight issues, you're certain to have missed hits, as all of us are anyway, but you're more likely to have increased scarring and venous damage. This, in turn, makes it more likely for the IV damage to be seen by doctors who are largely judgmental fucks. Once you're labelled an addict, things change and the care you receive often suffers. I wish with all my being that this wasn't the case, but it often is. For users like you and me, who depend on frequent medical intervention, this is an important consideration. As is fucking up your veins. I get blood drawn sometimes twice a day, and I'm always praying to the blood-fairy to keep my veins viable and accessible.

Ultimately, it's up to you. But if you don't "need" to IV, I don't think you should.

I intend to be VERY careful. Hell I have a CMA in my family, I can possibly talk her into doing it for me. If not I intend to be VERY careful, my PCP already knows I've done IV methamphetamine (and he gives me Focalin LOL) and so he looks for bruising and track marks. Plus if I can talk my pain specialist into the Dilaudid-HP, I'm set.

Registered the first time. Not nearly as hard as when I was trying while high from IV Adderall...

8mg IV is soooo much more potent than 8mg insuffflated.

Now I just hope I can keep it under control. But as far as I'm concerned, if I can make them last as long as I'm supposed to, I am keeping it under control.

opana is my DOC, and i've never experience another opiod that can compete with it in my opinion. i really want to the experience the dilly rush though

Well, in my case I was taking 48mg-60mg per day insufflated, and started with 8mg IV and that did me very nice.

As was said though, you can always do more but you can't take away. This is just in regard to my tolerance, so maybe you can use this to figure out a good dose, though I would never recommend more than 8mg to start.

I have no tolerance whatsoever to this particular drug, but I usually need high doses from pretty much every drug. I also now weigh 320lbs, which might account for that.

Injecting is out of the question for dilaudid, as I fear I might like it too much, so I will stick with plugging it, given that it is said to be a (far) second best route of administration. Fine by me.

How do I prepare plugging? Dissolve the pill(s) in 1ml water, then into a needle-less 3ml syringe, then up in there? How much should I use for a first time? I don't want to take so little that I'll barely feel it and waste the very few pills I have, but I don't think I wanna puke either...

Any help would be appreciated.

Plugging is administering a drug, yes, up ur ass. It's actually quite effective compared to oral or insuffulated. Ya don't just shove an intact pill up there, though. Dissolve the crushed pill in water, suck it up in an oral syringe, and plan to lay down for about 20 minutes or so. After you've secured a comfy place to lay down, administer the solution. Many say it's best to have had a recent BM, but typically stool is not stored in the rectum, so if you haven't shat it'll be fine.
Butt (I kill me), there's no rush like the IV rush of Dilaudid, for me.

I am prescribed dilaudid for a medical condition. I have a nasty tolerance and I have just switched to using it IV. I use about 16mg every four hours IV. I get 240 count 8mg pills a month, and I find myself going through that in about two weeks...well I have help seeing as how I hate to see my friends in pain! I would recommend shooting it, it works so much better. I melt it down with a little water then put it in a 1cc needle. I have become very good at eyeing how much water it takes to fill the needle just once. I use a cotton ball for a filter and I have no problems so far. I have been either doing it in the muscel or vein, either way the high is nice...much better in the vein but cant always get a nice hit. Drink a glass of water before you go fishing for a vein, and go in your leg or foot..if you don't want ppl to see track marks! I also will shoot up my last pill the night before and when I wake up the next morning switch to suboxone without any problems. You should wait at least 12 hours after last injection. I have IVed 32mgs at one time, and felt great but honestly it was a waste of dilaudid cuz 16mgs is enough...at least where I'm at right now. I have been using dilaudid for a few years now so if anyone has any questions I might be able to help!

I cant say that I have but I would just do what everyone says and start with a low does. You don't want to snow yourself or make yourself sick by doing too much. You can always do more, you can't take any away though. I started off with IV dilaudid only shooting about 4 mgs and quickly grew a nasty tolerance to about 8mg...now I'm at 16mgs and don't want to go any higher. Besides push the plunger down slow and you can feel the meds, if it starts to feel like too much stop but as i said I would just start with a small dose.

Do you use a micron filter?
