4-MMC/4-MEC question

Hi there,

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to knowing all things about how drugs act on the brain, and I'm quite confused about this: I've seen lots and lots of posts about how 4-MEC is more serotonin heavy in comparison to 4-MMC and how 4-MMC is more dopamine heavy compared to 4-MEC. But I really cannot understand it. 4-MMC has much more empathic euphoria - to be honest - 4-MEC doesn't really have any empathy. And I thought empathy was all to do with serotonin.

Could someone clear this up for me?

1. 4mmc releases all monoamines in shit-tons. Entactogenesis appears a synergy between release of the three.
2. The RC 'scene' being what it is, who knows whether a particular sample actually contains 4mec.

I would say 4-MMC had way more of everything good. More stimulation, more of the dompaminergic kick and more of the MDMA-esque euphoria and empathy. 4-MEC is dissapointing in all respects.

i believe 4mmc also has a decent adrenic kick to it as well. i found 4mec to be quite enjoyable, and when mixed with a small amount of 4mmc it became extremely euphoric and recreational. it was NOTHING like 4mmc though, it was much more comparable to MDA, with a bit less psychedelia. if youre looking for a cracked out stimulant, 4mec is not the way to go.

I found it nothing like MDA at all. You sure that feeling wasn't created by the mix of mmc and mec? MEC alone is just total shit.

its definitely possible. although, i did get some very recreational experiences with 4mec alone. i got it all from the same place, and i have some new 4mec from a slightly more reliable source coming today, ill do some more of it and see what happens. most people agree with you, that its utter shit, however i know a few people who agree with me, and i really want to get to the bottom of this. i also found that snorting it made it much more recreational for me, it came in a much faster rush.

Well count yourself lucky aha. Me and two friends went through 1.6g each all snorting and got totally minimal euphoria compared to a similar night on mephedrone.

Exactly. 4-MEC is not euphoric at all for me. Slight stimulation, an overall feeling of "tightness" in the negative sense, uneasy body load and headaches.
Due to it being moreish like it's brother, 4-MMC, it still makes you want to take more. And more.

The negatives far outweigh the positives with this one, I'm afraid.
