Horror movie on acid

Lolz.....hell, I saw 'Seven' in the theatre completely sobor and it still bugged me out:\ I reccomend the OP watch 'In The Mouth of Madness' or 'Evil Dead' I or II;)

I was tripping 4 tabs with my brother one time and he ended up ditching me at a friend's house (long story) with a head full of acid and no one there knew I was tripping. So, anyway, someone throws on "Seven" (Kevin Spacy is a serial killer, you know the one) and I watched that whole movie while quietly losing my shit. It was pretty fun. Intense, but fun. After that movie someone was like "what's up dude" and I was like "I'M TRIPPING THE FUCK OUT!". It was the first that any of them realized I was out of my head. Good times.

Lol, cool story

acid can bring out the 'fakeness' of film or tv. you realise that you are watching actors on a set, filmed by cameras and that the gore is fake and all the devices they are using are to shock you.

or it can be boring and detract from your trip

or you could be drawn right into it and have the pants scared off you.

for me it has usually been one of the first two. try watching "yellow submarine" or something ;)

LSD usually enhances anything you enjoy sober - so if you like horror movies then watch a horror movie.

I think normal gore horror movies like day of the dead or something like that would be fine but psychological thrillers full of suspense that really make you jump might be a bit to much. Like 'signs' or 'what lies beneath'.

I watched Ichi The Killer on 4 or 5 hits once, it wasn't a very good time to be honest.

That movie isn't even supposed to be scary, just extremely depraved and gory. It gave me an uneasy feeling the entire way through, then when I was done I was like "why the fuck did I just watch that entire movie".

Just watch The Wall or The Grateful Dead vids or something if you want trippy stuff. Shit, my all time favorite thing to watch while tripping is probably Adventure Time on cartoon network. Watch that and try to not laugh uncontrollably, it feels better on the soul.

The very first time I dropped acid I watched dawn of the dead with my best friend's mom, come to think of it.8(

Natural Born Killers was always one of my favorite movies to watch while coming down from mushrooms. Good choice.

Honestly I was too deep in my own head to really pay much attention when I was watching Seven. I remember that the ending was awesome though. Haha

The head in the box thing was kind of fucking hilarious.

personally i would never put myself in that kind of situation. i try to fill my mind with positive things most of the time. while i do like watching horror movies sometimes (they're not my favorite, but i will still watch them), i wouldn't want to fill my mind with that kind of stuff while on acid.

i also don't like the confinement of being indoors while tripping, or being involved with a bunch of technology (unless its DMT). i'd much rather be outside exploring.

I love horror movies while tripping or when coming down from trips. I love them sober too for what its worth

I never watch horros movies but last christmas when me and my friend were tripping on LSD we watched 'Cradle of Fear' by Dani Filth from Cradle of Filth. It was funny, a little scary, a little erotic but definitely watchable.

I think that experience and company has a lot to do with it - when on LSD you can often 'remove' yourself from the usual 'headspace' that accompany most experiences. The same applies to horror movies - if you can simply view the images as just that, images and you dont get into the horror / fear aspect of the characters then you good to go.

+1 on that. On LSD I am CONSTANTLY aware of the fact I am watching a movie (if it has my concentration) which would detract from any horror movie.

High doses and trance like states I could see as being a problem because when you zone out music dictates a lot of my thoughts and feelings and most horror movies have not nice music.

Tripping + Drag Me Down to Hell......oh my fucking god

it made my heart pound so hard...totally flippin out!

If someone could sit through the movie The Grudge on acid or mushrooms without being scared I would be content with eating a large plate of my own feces.
