Alcohol and Ecstasy Question

Last week I took two ecstasy pills after consuming around 5-6 alcoholic drinks. And of course we know that rolling with alcohol diminishes the effects of the ecstasy.

Though I noticed after this experience with alcohol, that I did not seem to have my normal side effects from the MDMA. The MDMA did not hit me like normal because of the alcohol, and my normal side effects were also diminished.

My question is this.

If you take MDMA with alcohol, does MDMA have the same lasting negative affect on your brain in comparison to have just taken MDMA alone with no alcohol? Meaning, when alcohol gets in the way of MDMA working and blocks out some of the normal effects, does it also mean you have less side effects from MDMA and less taxing on your brain from MDMA?

I normally do not roll more than once every 3 months, but I am wondering if this roll really counted fully in terms of where my brain would normally be at after a roll? If not fully, how much?

Also I should add that I test my pills and they came back as MDMA, and I have taken these exact pills before and know they're legit.

To my knowledge, there is nothing about alcohol that inhibits the negative effects on your 5-HT system that MDMA causes- I do know that alcohol can inhibit the sensation of the high of MDMA, and visa versa.

If anything, the dehydration alcohol causes would increase your risks for a bad come down, and be a safety issue. I find that once I'm rolling alcohol does not seem to effect me and is really a waste.

I always drink usually before/during the roll and sometimes have a drink or two after if I can't fall asleep. I would not recommend drinking alcohol and rolling to anything, though, as it increases dehydration and can lead to more serious things like overheating if water is not being taken properly.

Is your brain any different afterwards (better or worse), from MDMA, which combined with alcohol? I'm asking because the roll was very mellow from the alcohol, and also my side effects were very mellow. When alcohol isn't used, the roll is strong with these pills, and the side effects are more severe.

Alcohol is unlikely to diminish the effects of rolling.
If you felt nothing with pills that tested pure, you might be experiencing tolerance to MDMA.
Even with proper spacing, MDMA causes neuroadaptation over time.
If you follow spacing recommendations, you are rolling only 3-4 times per year.
Does that hold true for you? How many years/pills have you taken?

To answer your question - YES, you should count this last exposure and space your next roll accordingly.
One or two drinks is probably low on the risk-scale, but a whole six pack is rather foolish.
You should not need to combine the two.
In fact, alcohol should not be combined with MOST drugs, whether they are benzos, opiates, or stimulants.
Anyone who disagrees with this statement is ignoring solid medical data.

Aside from dehydration, which is a MAJOR concern during MDMA use, alcohol also changes electrolyte balance considerably.
Many of the acute/lethal reactions to MDMA are found to involve such electrolyte imbalance.
It is simply not worth the risk.

Furthermore, alcohol will inhibit your liver's ability to metabolize and remove MDMA from the bloodstream.
While this may potentiate the effects for some people, it also increases the risks.
Also, several theories point to toxic metabolites of MDMA as the cause of neurotoxicity.
Alcohol may increase the penetration of this toxicity into brain tissue, along with inhibiting its metabolism and removal.

Combine at your own risk, my friends.
Do yourselves a favor and look into Piracetam instead.
It potentiates the roll if taken properly, and may reduce toxicity.

Well, MDMA is bad for your brain and so is alcohol. This may be a bit simplistic of me but I would have thought that taking two substances that are bad for the brain (but in in different ways) is worse than taking one by itself.

LOL, drinking a six pack is not going to protect your brain from the negative effects of MDMA. I think you already knew that! :)

Just because all the effects of MDMA are toned down due to the alc, that doesn't mean there is any less MDMA hitting your brain. You know what I mean?
