What Are You Drinking? Four of your 'finest' purple tins, s'il vous plait

modelo%20especial%20beer-500x500.jpg

The bottle spoke to me, so I thought I'd give it a try. Too bad it tastes like piss. :\

drinking body weight in watercooler water lol, it tastes better then my flats water so i fill a few bottles up before i leave, the skank i am :P ah well

Campari and pineapple juice. It looks a well dodgy colour and could do with a few maraschino cherries and a cocktail umbrella to glam it up.

However I'm too tight to open a jar or said cherries for the occasion at hand :D

@ Kate
Your drink is making me think of del boy , and givin me good Ol chuckle.
Nothing as exotic for me ,box of ice cold Stella's , to watch the grand prix.

^
A beers sounds good.

I'm working my way through the leftovers from my cocktail garden party from last Sunday. What can one do with Angostura aromatic bitters, cranberry / apple / orange juice, white rum, gin, various wines and Guinness?

+ the cherries, umbrellas, crushed ice and citrus slices....

oh and mint which I grow for mojitos hmmm

Not to brag but I make the nicest mojito in the world. Been working in pubs all my life. Come to Germany for one!

Ok... Im bragging =D

^
So what's your secret then?

I'd love to pop over to Germany for one, but today's flights from here aren't too frequent! lol

Making mojito by the jug full never works out as well as a nice glassful at a good bar. That Bacardi stuff ready mixed in the bottle is gash btw :|

By jugfull? Jesus no.

Not much secret its not a hard cocktail to make right. You just need the right ingredients.

Fresh limes, fresh mint and proper rum is a must.

Havanna club gran reserva is the way to go. Do not make mojito's with bacardi.

Oh and proper crushed ice.

OH and proper brown sugar. Not too finely ground.

Ah so the jugful is where I'm going wrong 8)=D

I'm doing the fresh mint, fresh limes, quality brown sugar and no Bacardi bit right...must be the combo bit I'm arsing hu!

The way I was thought to do it is.

Take a 0.4l glass (the size of the glass is very important for judging)

Add about 4-5 decent sized mint leaves, you grow the stuff so you know what I mean.

People will tell you 'one lime' or 'two limes' but as the juice you get out of them is always different dont bother sticking to a certain number of limes.

Cut your lime into 6 pieces and add it to the mint in the glass.

4 big teaspoons of good quality brown sugar.

Mash it all well. Theres a deadly little tool for this that looks like a little baseball bat. You can usually get one free with bottles of Pitu, Brazilian schnapps thats used for caipirinhas.

What your looking for is lime juice filling the glass a little over a third you might need more lime.

Fill to the brim with crushed ice.

Fill with Havanna club.

Decorate.

Enjoy :)

that sounds perfect.i got a few btls of Havanna 7 so will try it out next wend.

today im going to have a few btls of Galway Hooker.

Still on the Fanta, its fruit twist tonight, I'm sure I'll be eating raw vegetables and wearing that Kaftan soon enough the way its going

Just had a cup of Twinings Cranberry, Raspberry and Elderflower tea :D Was surprisingly tasty actualy, shame it was just a free sample and I only had one tea bag. Is doing the job of samples though and making me want to go buy some more.

bottles and bottles of ice cold filtered water from the office, it aint a bottle jobby its a filter one so god knows how much ive drank..all i know is im startin to need a piss lol

Been in a bit of a tea mood today. Had another cup of tea, this time Twinings Assam tea, was much more like a normal tea than the lovely Cranberry, Raspberry and Elderflower one, but has got me thinking that tea isn't all that bad after all :D

Going to go make myself a 3rd cup of tea for the day, this time South African Redbush tea but with a Citrus Twist.
