...that isn't Benzodiazepine/Gabapentin/Pregabalin/SSRI/SNRI.

The medications/drugs that I have mentioned have withdrawals, long-term side effects and/or tolerance.

You've really eliminated basically all the meds that would help with anxiety.

There is hydroxyzine, which is an antihistamine that many people say has really good anti-anxiety properties. It's also supposed to be mildly sedative. My experience with it has been disappointing. I never got any true anxiety relief or sedation from it, but then again I've been on alprazolam for anxiety for the past 4 years - so it might be totally different for you.

You could try trazodone. It's an antidepressant that has anxiolytic and strong sedative properties.

There's herbal stuff you could try like Valerian or Kava Kava, which I've tried and again they weren't effective at all.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head right now, but others might have some ideas.

go running everyday. not a medication, but i'm not trying to be a smartass. working out does so much for anxiety. it's ridiculous.

Very true. Jogging everday is an addiction for some because it releases a lot of endorphins in the brain and so it makes you feel tension/anxiety free and it makes you feel good.

^^ what hydroazuanacaine and kokaino said.

I'm a runner and I can't say enough about it. It improves my overall mood, reduces my anxiety, helps with my lower back pain, helps regulate my sleep cycle (especially when I run in the morning) and it gives me a daily sense of accomplishment that nothing else does.

Hydroxyzine, like kokaino mentioned, is really about all that's left with a half-decent chance of giving you the anti-anxiety effect. I've never had any luck with using it for anxiety but it's a great anti-histamine. Buspirine is also in a separate category from the rest. Though I've never tried it personally, and can say that at least in my area of the U.S. it's not very common, it is meant for anxiety.

I'm sure there are others but I can't think of any.

I'm a competitive powerlifter and I swear by the gym to relieve anxiety. Because when I am not in there due to injury or something other, I can barely leave the house. You have to tax the CNS man!

^^Exercise is definitely the best anti-anxiety treatment around, have to agree with the others.

Exercise, Therapy, Valerian root has helped me. Nothing compares to the benzos if you really have bad anxiety but if you don't have it bad I'd suggest Therapy so you can learn some techniques to cope with it without medication. Beta Blockers help some people too.

I don't take antidepressants so I understand your resistance to them but if you find you need a med you should give them a shot, they do work very well for some people and aren't usually as difficult to come off of as benzos are. They can make a big difference, so they can be worth it if you find the right one.

Make sure you eat healthy and don't use too much alcohol either. Weed works for some.

25mg seroquel perhaps? it isn't addictive and the only side effect is being verry asleep if you take too much

my parents couldnt wake me up when there was a gunman in the neighbourhood when i had 100mg before bed :|

Work-out, health freak here. Exercise worked WONDERS for my anxiety and other mental health disorders for a good 2 years. The calming rush of endorphins after a good work out was just... amazing.

However it became so habitual that it really does not have the same affect anymore.

this^^ and being in the sunlight. when the sun's rays shine on your eyes, your brain produces serotonin...the morning sun (6am-12pm) allows for the most production of this chem
