Far out man! I'm 25 at the moment and have firm plans to spend my entire 29th year doing all the things you say you wish you did when you were younger when you get older. Lost a serious girlfriend because I refused to make a commitment to settle down until 30. Anywhoo one of them is to hike the coast to coast walk in England. Likely around the time of the fringe festival in Edinborough as well. Have you done the hike or been to the festival?I canoe'd for a week across Scotland when I was around 14.
I've never really used IRC except for a few specific occasions and honestly don't recall what handle I used. I don't even think I have a client installed at the moment. Actually I do have chatzilla on firefox I suppose.

Well I wouldn't walk it all at once haha.
I've biked 600km from Toronto to Montreal over 10 days so I could always snag a cycle but I'm pretty sure the path is mostly unmarked and there might be tougher trails. Damn you've got me all excited but I still have to work for 4 more years hahaha.
If you do couch surfing you can find people to stay with who will also show you around the city and hang out with. I think I'd be happy alone so long as I was in developed countries where I spoke at least some of the language so I could be traveling buddies and get around fine. I think I want to try and trek through rural thailand or something at least once in my life but would need a traveling partner to feel comfortable in that one.I'm wanting to travel around the world, just go backpacking wherever. Would NEVER do it alone though.
I biked that route with a group of friends the summer after I graduated from uni before starting a real job in the fall. Fun to do but pretty common terrain for people from southern ontario.
