Can't go past Requiem For A Dream. Brutal, unsympathetic and very well put together.

I see Lock Stock on the list, also brilliant film. But kinda only loosely drug based really, certainly that wasn't the focus

I gotta mention "Leaves of Grass". Its a straight to dvd edward norton movie...fucking awesome drug movie. Check it out.

As far as other movies, I'm a sucker for any drug movie with pretty girls and/or opiates.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, without any doubt. I've seen it dozens of times in various states of consciousness.

But Trainspotting and Drugstore Cowboy are also high on my list. I find Requiem For A Dream overrated.

I voted for Drugstore Cowboy, but does anyone know if The Trip is any good? It came out in 67 and stars Peter Fonda.
Depends on your taste. It's not a conventional movie with a distinguishable plot. Frankly, I was bored by it.

Requiem for a dream is crazy az hell and that shit makes me glad that i didnt get hooked on heroin
But fear and loathing in laz vegas tripped me out and makes me want to take a vacation to las vegas

American Gangster for me. Thought it was absolutely a great movie, and even more-so, due to the fact that Frank Lucas really did smuggle several thousand kilos of heroin into the states using our own military. Too bad he had to go for the big "2k-run" as I refer to it as. That's so much dope I wouldn't even know what to do.. besides stick my damn face in it and do an Al Pacino mound.

When I was opening this thread, I wasn't expecting to see such a long list of (probably) awesome movies. I have yet to watch most of them.

There are two drug-related movies I especially like: Another Day in Paradise and Blow. My vote goes for the latter, because the former isn't on the poll. But it is amazing, trust me.

What really surpsises me is the number of people who loves "Requiem For A Dream". IMO, this movie is too affected and unnatural. The only one good thing in "Requiem..." is OST. :)

Voted for Trainspotting, because to me, it best captures a certain lifestyle, mentality... just the whole package.

Requiem for A Dream. All time favorite movie, beyond Party Monster? Surprised that's not on here. I could marry Darren Aronofsky, the way it was shot, everything, brutal.

HIGHWAY!! if you dont know it, look it up, best druggie movie ever! Jared Leto, Jake Gylenhaal, Selma Blair, and the guy who plays Dr. Cox.

Pusher! (Its a danish movie, Mads Mikkelsen is in it)

(Pusher II is good too, but Pusher III wasn't all that good).

Very messed up.

If you do go to Vegas & drop acid, make sure to drop it in the afternoon & do it out in the desert, make sure of course its not summer time. What an amazing trip , loved the bright sun & the outdoors. It made me think this is what its all about, man & human nature united.

After several hours with my gf out there, we decided to go back to the room, shower & hit the casinos. Definitely different vibe. Ive always liked gambling but anytime I was on acid, I would always wonder why the f**k I gambled. When I was in the casino, I didnt wanna gamble, I was just sitting there in awe watching people lose their money & wondering wtf they were doing it. Like I said, acid can put things in perspective. <------I just ranted, haha!
