The question is, is the high the same?
I know that you can't use opiates before suboxone, or after either (if you are addicted, as it will cause instant WDs)
But, let's say you don't use any other opiates, just subs. Is there any difference in the high? Will one make you more high than the other?

Thanks for any replies. I ask because suboxone is easier to get a hold of at the moment.

suboxone and subutex are the same basically, they are both bupe, the only difference is suboxone has naloxone in it and the subutex does not

^Correct.

Suboxone = buperenorphine + naloxone.

Subutex = buprenorphine with no naloxone.

The "high" from the two will be the exact same. The naloxone in suboxone is virtually ineffective. Buprenorphine out competes naloxone at the opioid receptors in the brain, rendering it virtually ineffective.

In regards to preciptated withdrawals, it is the buprenorphine that causes it, NOT the naloxone. You will get precipitated withdrawals from either one, if you take them too soon after taking other traditional opiates.

If you take other opiates AFTER taking suboxone/subutex, you WILL NOT go into withdrawal, though the buprenorphine will more or less block the other opiates so you will not get high. You will not go into withdrawal though.

Thanks guys.

I guess it's just a mental or anti-placebo thing, but I just feel less high on suboxone. But maybe this will help with the mental thing.
Anyways, not that you care, but it's coming towards the end of my relationship with subs; I used to get super-high from 1mg, now I need 8mg just to feel high for maybe three hours. And of course, to keep the WDs at bay. Just felt like sharing. I wont go to heroin, again, so it will soon be WDs for some days, then the end. Maybe take it up again in two months or so.

Thanks again for all replies. Basic really I know, but I guess I needed it confirmed to help with the 'mental side'. Boy, those first days...whooo... I didn't need any mental help. Now I have to focus real hard to feel anything after those initial three hours.

Anyways, thanks and bye for now.

For me Subutex has a little more stimulated effect while on Suboxone its more mellow.

suboxone has naloxone in it, subutex does not.

/thread...... seriously. end the thread mods?

its incredibly simple. ive seen good topics shut right away, yet threads like this get to stay open after an incredibly simple answer is given.

^Depends on what sort of mood the mod is in (often drug induced). I'm a little melancholy so shall close this now :( haha :D

Also OP some people complain of headaches/nausea/other differences from the naloxone containing preparation. Due to the drugs' relative affinities this is more likely just a reaction to the naloxone on its own and not due to the naloxone influencing the bupe.

You can read through the suboxone thread for much more information on this but for your situation the bupe will get you high regardless.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns.
