There is no way a rep would actually stick up against this. It would be political suicide. I think this act will probably be hailed as something that's protecting the US and the children. The US campaigning machine is going into overdrive, claiming you're doing things against drugs will give you a LOT of votes. The average voter is painfully uninformed and can't tell the difference between marijuana, 2c-b, LSD and heroin. In their eyes they're all substances that are destroying society.
Also, were there any (mis)attributed deaths to any of these substances, or were they making the media track lately?
I know that it might not sway a rep but I can still do it.
Anyway the only news I've seen of any of them is the OD in Blaine where a group of people were snorting what I gathered to be massive amounts of 2C-E while boozing. It happened in MN where Amy Klochubar is from. She pretty much stated that this bill is in response to that.
