Could piracetam reduce short term memory loss from cannabis abuse?

I've been smoking pot daily for the last 6 months, 3 or more times a day. My short term memory has definitely become poor, I have some trouble focusing and I'm generally spacey.
I've been cutting down on my cannabis usage and planning on continuing to cut down but wondered if Piracetam could aid in restoring me to my old self.

It works for me.

:\ ....... Im currently smoking 2-2.5 grams of bud on weekdays and twice that much on weekends & .5-.7 of hash. Im eating around 20 grams of shake ( based amount of shake/budder/edibles made from budder) per day. Ive been consuming amounts like this for about 7 years, years ago tho the amount i smoked was more and the amount consumed orally was less. Ive started consuming more cannabis orally the last few years.

Good lord! 8o How do you even function using that much?! Tolerance must be up in the stratosphere, no?

As to the OP, I found aniracetam to work better than piracetam for memory/cognition purposes IME. The combination of aniracetam + b-complex supplement + (myo)-inositol did wonders for me. Cutting back is very helpful/advisable, as is getting more exercise/sleep.

Pretty much. Ive been about to "take a break" for a long time but its got me by the balls i must admit. The best ive done is pushed back my first bowl to 2 hours after i wake up.

When i first started taking piracetam i was getting super high again but then my tolerance to piracetam built and it doesnt do it for me anymore on the lowering tolerance side.

Woah, I had no idea there were many others out there that had similar use as me. Everyone I know can't afford such a large habit nor can relate to how much I smoke considering I've been smoking for MUCH less time than all of my friends.

I had no idea Piracetam made the highs better too, I'm kinda excited now lol.

and I'll look into Aniracetam, do you have a particular website that maybe sells it that I could check out?

Just wondering why you prefer piracetam to aniracetam, Socal?
Ive got some piracetam on the way and can't wait to try it, ive heard so much about its memory and cognitive enhancement - hopefully it lives up to this.

I only smoke once a week so I dont really have a tolerance problem - but its impact here will to be interesting!

sure it can, but not by much. it might just make you feel a little bit sharper and think a little more clearly, but its not guna negate all of the side effects you may get from marijuana. take small doses to start off and raise it if you dont feel much effect from the getgo. id say do that, and smoke less. exercise can deffly help as well, and of course eating better.

The only thing to remember with piracetam is tolerance to it builds to it as well just not rediculously fast. I call it my "articulation fuel" i notice i use much bigger & complexed speech when im on it.
My thoughts are so much clearer and i can vocalize them in a heartbeat instead of thinking for 10 seconds on how to word what im going to say.

I'm on my second day of taking aniracetam and I have noticed a few things: clearer thoughts, better mood, and I can focus on what i'm doing and not be distracted so easily. It's not a miracle pill for cognitive performance enhancement but it sure as hell works. If I had a better diet and smoked less the effects would probably be even greater. To answer your question about short term memory, yeah I have noticed I can remember all of the little things I would forget like times, names, random numbers, etc.

I started exercising last night and I plan on continuing the exercise regularly. When I was younger, I walked and rode my bicycle quite a bit every day so I plan on getting back to that routine. I also only smoked 3 times today and smoked little each of those times. I'm already feeling a little less depressed than normal.

I've had such a lack of motivation that I'm going to have to raise a 47% to a 71% as well as pass a final exam to pass Algebra 2. If I don't, I don't graduate so thats helping me with not smoking as much.

Lol also planning on an adderall binge from now until graduation. I've done it before and its hell but damn the grades pay off.

Any updates

Anybody try pramiracetam or aniracetam and see any decent results. I personally used to smoke as much as LogicSoDeveloped and was wondering if anyone knows how i can reverse the effects of smoking. Quit smoking like 10 months ago and started
excercising but I still havent returned to normal.

After smoking that much have you returned back to your normal self. Like last year i used to smoke as much as you (with a vaporizer though) and my memory since then has been horrible. Also any advice on the piracatam or aniracetam.

I smoke almost as much as Socal and LSD, and I find that piracetam works wonders for me as well :)
Actually, taking l-carnatine, choline, and piracetam over the last few weeks has greatly increased my vocalization as well as thought process. ADD kid here, so this stuff is a God send. You should try out choline with it as well Logic!

These are all good solutions, but high doses of THC still impair learning through modulating the hippocampus. These hippocampal changes are the same ones that give you the munchies, btw. Food tastes like 10x better, so maybe learning (new material, not recalling old information) is impaired by just as much. So if learning new things is your goal, such as being in school, it will hurt you. If you are relying on previously learned information, like being at work, cannabis will help in the ADD individual.

As far as ADD goes, ADHD-hyperactive is usually helped by smoking, while ADHD-inattentive is negatively affected, at least in my opinion and experience.

I've quit for 5 weeks now (been high for the last 5 years off that top shelf medical weed), and my brain feels so damn sharp. It feels like being on stimulants when sober, try it out after 4/20. If anything, you'll save a few bucks and trip on sobriety: "when you're high all the time, being sober's a trip."

Piracetam is not your problem. The quantity of pot and hash you smoke, is.

In fact, what quantity of piracetam you take is probably saving your ass and what little memory you have!

Cut back or take a break, and your short term memory will come back. Right now you're living in a fog and it'll be hard to see your way out. Just trust me... take a break.
