does vicodin make anyone else hyper sometimes?

ive been taking vic 7.5's and i feel like i am taking way too many of them. i know i have a high tolerance but they seem to be making me a bit stoned but at the same time they are making me hyper.

just curious if this ever happens to anyone else...

Yes, Vicodin makes me the kind of high where you feel like you can do backflips and run a mile. For example... when people say, "oh, all them things do is knock me on my ass." Well, they do the total opposite to me. They make me really wired, and euphoric.

Which makes me want to chat more with friends, play games, eat my fav. foods, and learn something new. Brings me a whole new feeling of confidence, and that "warm-fuzzy" feeling.
 
There are two types of people, people in which opiates knock them out and just make them drowsy, and people where opiates give them energy and all that as you are saying. I unfortunately am one of you as well, opiates make me really euphoric and confident and give me an energy boost. I say unfortunately because we are the type of people in the world that get addicted to them, there is something in our brain/bodies that differentiate us from the rest. Just don't go any farther, as in oxy's or any of that trying to chase a better high. You will end up at heroin, TRUST ME. I would of never thought in a million years i would be shootin dope, fuck the first drug i ever did was vicodin for my wisdom teeth. Downward spiral from there. BE CAREFUl and stay safe

They seem to do both for me. I can have all the energy I want and sleep for 1-2 hr a night or sleep easily long periods of time 14+ hours.

I have friends who only feel stimulation from oxy/hydro-codone.


Electricity, from the pills in me, it's all in me all in you. Only apathy from the pills in me.

If this is true then apparently I'm two people - for most its dose-dependent. Low-to-moderate doses tend to be more energizing but if ANYONE takes enough you will experience respiratory and CNS depression.

Since this is a pretty basic 'effects' question I'll go ahead and send it over to BDD for you :)

That seems true, but for me it goes stimulation->stimulation with the ability to sleep deeply-> (just below vomiting) the inability to sleep due to racing thoughts and overwhelming euphoria.

I've laid in bed completely awake with high doses of methadone.

I wish I could obtain more sedating opioids then oxycodone/methadone.
 
i have a lot of experience with opiates (oxys, h, vics, morphine... etc) and i guess they can make me confident and a bit energized and sometimes talky but i always get the nods and chill. im not sure what is up with the vicodin lately, though. i think because ive been taking some lower doses while im in situations where i have to function. ive also been taking a lot - feeling frustrated because im not all stoned. last night i was bouncing off the walls. however, after a shit night at work, i gulped 3 and im pretty zoned. it could be because im tired. hmmmm. whatever. i was just wondering if anyone else got hyper at times when on opiates. its funny because i like stimulants also. however, i got the vics to mellow out....

I get extremely energized and hyper too. Yet I have friends who fall asleep and nod off. I think there are these 2 different reactions. I prefer being the one who feels like I can run a marathon on opiates, instead of laying on a couch drooling.
 
Vicodin makes me very speedy. My mind is as sharp as a tac with the energy to go with it. Damn I love hydrocodone.
