Charlie Sheen let's loose!

this is why this guys makes so much money....we love tho watch him...there is no one as entertaining as sheen right now. I adore him even thou there is much more important shit going on in the world right now.

1) to have freedom and purpose, relative to the "average commoner"? 8)

2) lazy people browsing bluelight and youtube on pot probably have a better net contribution to "society" than people moving large amounts of money (said "not lazy" people have a lot of negative contribution to make up for)...

More money past the "baseline" needed for food/necessities allows one to really live in ways they couldn't when "bills" were their biggest concern. Most don't even know what being in such a position (for an extended time) entails. Suffice to say you are in a position to help others (or hurt them, or do nothing but buy random shit for yourself). And yes, that's relative to the average person whose time must be spent almost entirely on food/shelter/etc, it simply leaves them far less time to pursue bigger things.

Re your second point, lazy people make more contributions than people moving cash? Debatable, but even if that's so, I'd rather be in a position to have many more times the impact as said lazy folk/stoners.

When I saw this for the first time I couldn't help going "Wow wow what the fuck did he do to himself?", but gradually I was sucked into his somewhat deranged monologue, and I must admit it's strangely intriguing, sucked me right in. Seemed like some form of very advanced performance art, using an highly artificial language or slang developed for this purpose.

jeeeebus christ!! Is that dude basing his face off, or just finishing a 10d bender?!

Why can't anyone comprehend that he isn't on drugs? Can neither of you could be this fluid and outspoken without a big rock of cocaine? It's called 'riff mode' to exist purely in the moment. In the thought stream...he's just revelling in the world and the sorry eyes watching him. He's found life's meaning

Also when you go from looking like your average 40-something dude who parties hard to the cryptkeeper within weeks, amidst admissions of "banging 7g rocks" and the complete package of manic-type behavior... Well, connect those dots. The "clean" drug tests can be explained by either the fast metabolism of cocaine in the body, use of other stimulants like MDPV, or just someone else's urine.

I've only been naturally (hypo)manic for around a week or so during my worst periods of mental distress, I do know others who can seem like they're tweaked out on coke/amphetamines naturally, and it's uncanny how similar the mindstates are. But even if you're inducing mania through a complete lack of sleep, you still won't have the depleting effects on the body which look like years of aging within weeks that stimulants will. He has all he physical signs in spades, and his mental state can't possibly last much longer before he crashes.

Well said Patton.
He's clearly manic, and I'm getting a strong impression that, while the drugs fuel it, that it is true mania.
/I wish there was a pill to give you mania lol, I mean yes some drugs may seem close, but anyone who gets strong manic fits knows there's no drug on earth that can create such a feeling...I think I prefer natural mania to anything available.

Yes natural mania is better. It's better than drugs. I really do get what Charlie Sheen is saying.

I've also had drug binges push me into a naturally manic state where I've remained for several weeks ... so it wouldn't surprise me greatly if he got into a particular headspace "banging rocks" and his mania kicked in and has kept him there weeks after doing the drug.

But it is also possible that he's high as fuck, just has passed drug tests by taking things that aren't tested for or by cheating in some way.

Oh drugs're definitely amping up his natural mania, but IMO natural mania kills drug-induced anyday (whether a pure drug-induced mania, or drugs setting off a natural mania - neither is as "clean/pure" mania as a true, natural state of mania, imo of course! W/ a natural mania, I can't write it off to substances really, so it makes it more "real", which makes it so much more enjoyable!)
/and I disagree w/ the general sentiment that manic episodes are inherently bad and cause you harm - that depends on you, your situation in life, and those around you / where you are when you're going through the manic period. I've had manic periods that helped me in every way, as if it'd been a steady, controlled 3d period of medium-dose amp usage, only it was pure mania ;P

A friend of mine just IM'd me this. I figured I'd bump up this old thread instead of making a new thread.

Charlie Sheen booed off stage in 1st road show

(AP) DETROIT - Charlie Sheen and his "goddesses" took the stage to thunderous applause Saturday night for the first leg of his "Torpedo of Truth" tour. The 70-minute show hadn't even ended when the first reviews were in, and they were brutal.

The former "Two and a Half Men" star showed that comedic success on the screen doesn't necessarily translate to the stage, and the capacity crowd at the 5,100-seat Fox Theatre rebelled before he left the stage, chanting "refund!" and walking out in droves.

Linda Fugate, 47, of the Detroit suburb of Lincoln Park, walked outside and up the block yelling, "I want my money back!"

She said she paid $150 for two seats.

[...]

The show started well for Sheen, as the crowd stood and cheered as he and the women he calls his "goddesses" took the stage. The women, one a former porn star and the other an actress, carried signs with the words "War" and "Lock," references to one of the catchphrases Sheen recently coined.

"I don't see a single empty seat," he said.

After one audience member booed, Sheen sanguinely replied, "I've already got your money, dude."

whatever works for charlie
ill have to say that this looks very bad for the drug community :(

Irresponsibility will always look bad for the drug community, and if you've been recently talking about smoking multi-gram rocks, having a mania-fed publicity tour is prolly ill-advised (although he did seem to be making it work, until that show review it seemed all peacy :| )
/of course, the shitty-as-hell catch-22 is that 'responsible' drug usage in most countries requires secrecy, making an inordinate amount of drug news/info BAD circumstances. Still waiting to wake up to talk radio saying "Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Heres Tom with the Weather."

Would love to hear that too <3
