Charlie Sheen let's loose!

I have bipolar...in the early stages of a manic episode I acted very much like Sheen is acting.

My family filmed me once, and when I look back at the video it's quite similar to the videos of Sheen in the way he behaves.

Everything I was saying was important. Too important to let other people interrupt, if only for a couple of moments. Sleep was a waste of time and unnecessary, and I looked haggard. I could rhyme very easily and come up with strange and interesting sentences and poems.

Very important thoughts sprang to mind more quickly than I could tell them, and I had to tell them.

I was easily offended, and somewhat aggressive. I felt special, not just confident but I began to relate to Jesus Christ...I read passages from the Bible..I didn't think I was Jesus, but that I was LIKE Jesus.

When I took my medication I came down.

Also my Dad has bipolar...he used to drink and it would make him manic. Same stuff - talking, constantly. He wouldn't sleep for a week, or would sleep an hour here and there, over two weeks.

He was confrontational, aggressive, he was going to "divine the dead" with astrolabes and quartz .
I.e bring back the dead, with a globe of the spherical astrolabe and a bunch of rocks.

He would stand on his balcony screaming - his enemy was the local government. He screamed all night, for three or four nights until his voice was hoarse.

He set up incense and listened to Arabic radio full blast. Eventually he trashed his apartment, destroyed his computer, his television, his microwave, and threw thousands of dollars off his balcony.

He lost his job, which was a pretty high paying one, and didn't care (he had gone to China on some delegation and in meetings with Chinese officials he would put take his shoes off and put his feet on the table).

He also abused and harrassed his employer.

Eventually the police put him in a mental hospital. But he's had manic episodes, where it just wears off, over a month or so (a week or two acting weird, a week or two acting very weird...perhaps not psychotic if he avoids drinking...then back to normal).

Anyway alot of what Sheen says, and how he acts, reminds me of my old man, and makes me think he's somewhat manic.

I guess we'll see...if he can avoid going out and gambling, or drinking he might be okay.

The quality of 'Sheen's Korner' is somewhat less than his previous works.

I think to some extent everyone has some mild mental disorders like ADD/ADHD, deprsssioN, bipolar. It makes us human characters. As long as it doesn't cause any major problems I don't see any reason in treating it. I have mild bipolar but my doc said it's nowhere near severe enough to require treatment.

I have symptoms of bipolar, OCD, ADD, DP/DR, DID/MPD, PTSD etc, etc, but I don't bother getting diagnosed because all they'll do is just put me on drugs I *don't* want to take.

I'd rather self-medicate with mephedrone or DXM for my various symptoms and then do molly occasionally for self-therapy <3

I'm the one who has to live my life and I don't feel like being doped up on SSRI's or whatever other Rx crap they wanna give me that doesn't work and/or stifles my ambition / creativity.

So I can certainly empathize with and relate to Sheen's "bi-winning" attitude. :p

Who doesn't love this?

@ girlgrrl, AA might be a cult...Try Narconon (scientology based pseudo rehab). I graduated, and have stayed clean....No thanks to them. The memories make me want to use. I've only done a couple AAz and NAz, but shit...there's a lot worse out there. I'm not saying it's right, but, keep it in perspective..AA/NA is manipulative, but it's no cult.

How does a manic phase feels like? Is it euphoric? Or how does it feels like?
Is it like being high?
I'm very curious

Yeh its too bad all they have for mental illness is benzos and SSRIs and such. Benzos work for anxiety, but who wants to chase a shitty clonazepam buzz all day? And it makes you kind of "flat-headed".

SSRIs and the like just mangle your feelings and brain, all for the sake of a sense of well being which, while nice, isnt really worth the extremely disturbing side effects [loss of libido, vertigo, suicidal thoughts, "brain zaps", whatever]. cant they figure out better medicine? so people wouldn't resort to crack and heroin and the like. maybe its one of those "life's just like that" things that is kind of a catch-22 [drugs that work are always bad in the end].

I think charlie sheen's hilarious and its great how he turned his personal downfall into a joke, and started raking in even more cash. damn those celebrities have some clever publicists and people working with them. maybe he'll show how ridiculous it is for the whole world to leap on drug problems as if they were "terrorists" or something.

And I absolutely agree with girlygrrl [are you really so girly?] about bi-winning. most people are relatively fucked in the head but manage to survive and even thrive by exploiting their good side, trying to harness in their negative energies. People these days condemn anything "bad" as if "good" could even exist without "bad". Can you imagine what people in the old days, who suffered through unimaginable diseases and wars and brutality, would think about getting high being illegal? It's an assault of human dignity greater than that done by drugs themselves. All because the States couldn't handle their substance abuse problems back in the 1920s.

If this guy ain't bipolar 1 i dunno who is. Not in my wildest IV coke induced psychosis have i ever got on like that or have been such a tard and a genius at the same time.

So im voting manic cokehead :\

this is what i have been saying on another thread and people were thinking it was all an act. if you've been there and done that with mania you can smell it a mile away. very hard to fake it if you're not on speed or cocaine at the time

if you were in the grip of mania how much would having the worlds press pay you attention satisfy your ginormous ego? the answer is very much indeed. normally when you go manic you feel famous and important but here he is being famous and (somewhat dubiously) important.

maybe he is on mdpv and they didn't test for it...

its fucking amazing which is why when people with bipolar are not in a manic phase they often go for stimulants as they want to recreate that special magic feeling, but drugs cant get you there to the same degree as nature.

problem is it wrecks you financially and disrupts and can destroy a lot of your interpersonal relationships and stability

from the inside it feels great from the ouside it draws a lot of concern then frustration from others

The network is "trying to take all my money and leave me with no means to support my family."

This is the only thing that makes me hate him.

If you're a multi-millionaire, NEVER complain about money. You will piss off all sorts of people.

yeh but his family includes an LA coke cartel, a dozen prostitutes and porn actors, at least four [legitimate] children, and not to mention the citizens of Nibiru X from where Sheen [or rather "Mr. Estevez", or "Repo Man's Brother"] hails...

It is significant that the Only time I have ever seen his show was when I was sitting in the County Jail (DUI probation violation). It has its humorous moments, but on the whole, I found it very sexist and insulting to women and I'm no prude. This is the best the US can do apparently. $1.8 million per week? That amount of money is simply obscene! $20,000 in a year is about the best I've done. Charlie's been fired. He's found other ways to get lots of dough. The cult of celebrity hasn't let him down.

Money goes fast. One bad divorce can wipe you out completely. Income is a completely different story though, so I see where he's coming from.

I think he's good though. His contract will keep making him money for many many years to come

I've been a millionaire before ... I was averaging five grand a day... but my business partner died and I went bankrupt and lost everything ... so now I'm just a peon like everyone else ... so I don't judge the guy for complaining about losing a job that was paying him $40million a year ...

Oh come on lol..

If you had made Sheen dollars and failed to diversify enough to account for a divorce, or other unfortunate turn of events, then you deserve to be broke. You're certainly not WINNING, as Charlie is wholeheartedly claiming to be.

I don't see how income matters, and I don't see how bankruptcy is even applicable. Besides, going bankrupt and being broke are two completely different things.

Trump went bankrupt, remember? He sure as fuck wasn't broke.

Stop apologizing for this behaviour. If you're a multi-millionaire, don't complain about money. Ever. Complain about the carpet stains on your nephew's yacht or something.

Cyc, it's all relative - a million goes very far in some places, not too far in others. It comes down to assets(savings), income and expenses, and people who make more have, in general, higher expenses. Those who do not tend to increase assets.
For Sheen, his standard of living is crazy expensive, and the "be happy with a couple mil" logic just cannot apply to his situation.
/and people's personal #'s on a forum is distasteful, could've been a family owned business handed to her, or maybe she ran a distribution org off the table, doubt she'd want to air out either in the thread ;P
