Hey everybody, fairly new here. Iv never been to a rave but would love to go to one. I was just wondering (I know there obvs different) similarites and diffrences to a rave vs your average joe club. And also the similarites between a rave and a mosh pit.

Mosh pit. Alota you guys are prolly lookin at this and thinkin they are polar oppisties. Yes they can get quit rough, but iv definatlly felt bonding type moments at mosh pits, with people I dont know all digging music that reallly means sommthin to them.

Club. ahahha embarassing to say the least. Shitty mainstream music (imo) but ill admit there pretty fun when your intoxicated (alk) but the type of people the music the vibes, way more of an alk thing. I think I would go insane if I was rolling and went to your average "fist pumping... lol" club.

Rave. Never been to one. Im going to go out on a limb that its not as evil, diry and foul as my highschool health class made it out to be.

ive been to all 3 and i gotta say, raves really are something different...
especially if you go to like a 2 day rave or something. its pretty rough on the body and mind but its probably the most fun!
i gotta say though i prefer metal gigs. heavy metal is my absolute passion, although i also like hardstyle, psytrance etc. imo nothing beats a good old mosh pit, cuz i always wake up the next morning feeling class (thats obviously never happened after a rave)
as for clubs, theyre pretty good too. except you cant do drugs and the drinks are amazingly expensive.

I ussually am pretty sore after a mosh pit (im a pretty small dude) But yea id take some sore ribs over a comedown anyday.

thnx for the info. True about AMAZINGLY EXPENSIVE. (lucky for me theres a bar across the street from the main club that sells like 2 dollar drinks... not a huge town)

DUUUDDDEEE!! you read my mind. I love me some dub. I was actually gonna ask about the diffrent types of raves (scenes, genres ect...) If any of you have info on that it would be great.

Sidenote, anyone listend to dub on Nitrous! 8o (It already makes audio go all dub like waa waa wahhhh, so combining them is just like i said 8o)

Go to a dubstep rave rolling. You can't go wrong...

Correction: Go to a rave that centers around your favorite EDM rolling, can't go wrong. Dubstep is very -meh- for me if I'm rolling; I need some hard dance >:3

I've also been to all 3. Imagine a rave like a giant club with GOOD EDM playing and great vibes from everyone there.

Dubstep & Shrooms. TRY IT.

rolling at home vs at a rave!

I need some input here. I have only rolled at home. its relaxing, I have never really felt the REAL urge to dance. got control of everything...its nice. but everyone says its a different story rolling at a rave....so wat is the difference?? at home I feel at ease, relaxed, loveable, cuddly etc.. etc. also I am a bit nervous rolling at a rave...cause I only have done it at home...where I control everything and I am surrounded peeps I trust etc..etc ne stories while u were at raves would be great!.....ne input and advice u got is good...I wanna know the feel of rolling at a rave!! (of course I wont truly know till I go to a rave but it will be nice to have an idea!!)

i have only rolled at music festivals so cant really tell you the differences but its a lot of fun meeting new people getting light shows and just getting lost in the music. trust me if you hear the music you will not be able to not dance.

Rolling at home is more about embracing your environment and allowing yourself to have the control you want.

At an event, like a music festival or a rave, it is easier to let yourself let go. Easy to let yourself lose control and dance and feel the vibe and atmosphere of the place, people, and the world.

2 very different feelings indeed.

The first time I did it at a rave I was a little uncomfortable. No big deal and it's not like I had anxiety but the place was a tad sketchy and I think my slight discomfort weakened my roll. I was just a little afraid that the place would get raided or somebody would try to pickpocket me or something, it was packed and stuffy. I personally prefer parties over clubs or raves. A thing about raves that is much different is that it may not be a flexible setting. So if you decide you want to just sit down and talk to someone for a bit instead of raging, that can be difficult. On the other hand, the rave will cater to your high, and EVERYONE will be fucked up and sharing your experience.

I've rolled at home, friends home, and at raves. In a house setting, I just lay around and blahhhhhhhh, sink into couches, the floor, mhmm cuddle buddy..

At raves, DANCE DANCE DANCE.

Hehe, so you may not think you'll be that full of energy, because you know how you are rolling, right?

It really depends on the setting, fo sho! Try it out! You'll have fun! I promise. =]

My first time rolling I took two pills and would say it was a 2/10 experience. You can read my thread about it...

Anyways that was at a Diplo concert, basically a rave. I got a lot of energy and really enjoyed dancing (and sweating my ass off) but didn't get many other effects. My second time was at home with one person and while I danced to some trance music nothing was super intense, no sweating etc... but I had a better roll that time.

Both had their perks, at home was a really cool bonding experience and good time with my buddy. At the rave its the same thing just more people. I am really excited to hopefully combine the two sometime soon and have a "good roll" at a rave.

I have noticed the setting plays a great deal in my high.

At home I'm all about connecting with my peers and sitting and cuddling.

At raves I sit while im coming up and stretch but when the right song comes on BAM you jump up and end up dancing for hours, meeting really cool people and coming out of the night with a handful of stories.

Give it a go!

My first roll was at a rave and it was the best night of my life.
Once the mdma kicked in all my problems and everything disappeared. It was like the whole world revolved around me and my girlfriend. The loud music feels so good. It's like the music is your language, it's in your soul.. it's your life.
I have not been to a rave since then though, and I love rolling with a group of friends and staying at home for awhile, then maybe head to a party or hit the city.

i like staying going to someones house or staying home and just hanging out with like 5 or 6 people and just doing whatever comes to mind. ive been to a few raves and i find them fun every once and awhile but they can get dangerous
