can you control being high?

I absolutely, positively cannot control what I say / how I act while high.

Even with only a bowl or two, I lose control of my surrounding environment.

Funny story: Friends and I were smoking in a parking lot in friend's car the one night. A cop car starts driving by our car and the driver says "get down, guys. Cop." So I duck down, but I'm spacing out and staring at the headlights and I continue to talk even though the cop was driving right by us. Not a damn care in the world.

When I use to be a heavy smoker I could act normal like it was nothing. And fuck, did that help with a lot of sticky situations! The only thing that would give it away was my damn eyes, but if it were night time I'd be sweet.

But these days, because I try not to smoke as much as I did, I'm just stoned and can't act normal or anything haha. But I guess that's alright because I'd always find myself feeling a bit more sober every time I'd have to act normal. And I don't really care anymore if people know I'm stoned or not..

I smoke 3-10 times daily, so I've gotten used to doing all my daily activities stoned. I can't really control how high I am unless something bad happens or there's an emergency and then I pretty much immediately feel sober.

I can function high, but that's not really the same thing as controlling being high. As to whether people notice that I'm high, I think it heavily depends on the person. When I'm stoned I talk a bit slower and slur a bit more, but otherwise I'm more or less the same as when I'm sober, minus the terrible anxiety and depression (mainly the former) that occurs when I'm sober.

I look stoned after I smoke, but not nearly as much as I used to. My eyes don't get very red these days. The only really noticeable thing is that my eyelids get droopy and I get shadows under my eyes.

The fact that I'm pretty much always stoned when I interact with people makes it so most people probably assume that my personality is just like that, not that I'm stoned.

When I had a low weed tolerance forget about it though, everyone would know.

My Apologies Yerg, just was kinda hard because I use my G1 for a lot of the posting to the edit feature doesn't really help me out all to much, but I will surely try to compact my posts instead of dub/triple posting *Thumbs Up*

My Eyes don't get red at all, They just get a Bit "Glossy" is the Terms my friends use to describe how my eyes look after I've Burned. I can somewhat function when blowed but the other day I went to the Gym Blowed and Lifted like a champ (: Then I signed these papers and the dude had noooo idea that I was blowed as f***.. Then I got into 2 fights later that night and beasted out like a champ and then skated home blowed as fuck like a champ. (I Smoked about 6 Times that day)

Depends on situation and amount you've smoked. It's worth remembering at most all you have is a set of red eyes, nobody is expecting you to be high.

You could always say that you've been crying. =P
It works sometimes.
But then they ask "What About?"
And then you have to pull a story outta your arse..

As for the Eyes you can get Visine that makes the Redness go away (Preferrably "Rohto's" The Best Kind)

LMAO that's exactly how I am. It's The "F*** It" Attitude you get while blazed. xD

Hmm I had a conversation about this the other day. I usually smoke daily, but if I skip a couple days and hit some bongs of good weed, I can't hide it very well. Or, I don't think I can --- couple weeks ago got REALLY stoned with a friend, and a third party was like "um, you guys don't even look high?" I also spent a lot of time going to class and work stoned, where I had to play it off. I never really got called out on it...but I was doing what I was supposed to be doing well, so I don't know how much anyone who could have noticed may have cared.

My mom (may she rest in peace) always used to know if I came home stoned though! I was MUCH less experienced back then and couldn't shut my mouth --- would talk way more thinking that was covering how stoned I was. My dad, on the other hand...I'm open about it, I have my shit together for the most part so he doesn't care. I don't live at home, anyway.

Also, my eyes don't get very red. I feel like people with lighter colored eyes are more noticeable in that respect...my brown eyes don't seem to get picked up on, even if they are a bit blazed-looking. Friends of mine who only smoke once/twice a week can't play off being stoned for anything, but that's the point --- they aren't gonna do it if it'll be in a situation where they have to hide it.

For those who mentioned having to hide it when out in public, like a supermarket/store of some kind...I so disagree. Just go for it, BIG chance that no one gives a shit. Personally, if I can notice someone is stoned in public, it's much better than when someone is noticeably drunk as fuck in public --- I don't wanna compare the two, but if you're wasted, there's NO way to hide it, no matter how "good" you think you are. I can play that one off well too if I'm drunk, but if I'm a total wreck, there's no way whatsoever.

So, overall, I think I can control being high pretty well but...it's not nearly as fun as just enjoying how blazed you are :)

I think the Topic of this is Controlling the Intensity of your high. Unsure but it's turning into whether or not you can act proper.
A lot of people can act proper blazed where others can't. I think it's just based off of whether you were meant to be a stoner or not. As for the whole eye color part I'm unsure of, I have Blue Eyes but all I get are Glossy Eyes. The only time my eyes ever got RED was one of the first times I blazed and I had smoked Chronic and Tripped the F*** out.. Was more because of the people I was with than anything. Wonder if I should make a trip report on that. =P

I can't act sober when i am high. Also I don't know anyone who can. If i am buzzed I may be able to straighten up a bit. When I get high though, I am very high.

I do feel like in the rare case where you are in a situation and your adrenaline kicks in it may kind of take over and overpower the high from the cannabis. This doesn't make you sober(jacked on adrenaline) but it may allow you to get shit done in a situation where being high isn't very conducive.

Yes, I can.

There are some situations that I would rather be sober in, and I often have that thought if I'm high and one of those situations arises. But I usually just ignore it and go about what it is I have to do/deal with and no one has every noticed anything. with the exception of a few times when my tolerance was low, that was years ago though.

well the op asked if you can act sober when you're high, and the answer to that for me is yes. but in terms of "controlling my high", as in the intensity, definitely not.

If I really need to be I can totally control being high. When I was in High School I not only went to school high everyday, but I hid my smoking from my girlfriend who didnt agree with smoking weed. It was not all that hard....

I used the advanced formula of a Visine like product to always keep my eyes normal looking.

Then I acted as normal as possible. It's not that hard.... Even completely stoned on some of the best strains DFW had to offer....

Yea, the biggest thing is keeping my eyes "sharp" looking. Droopy, red eyes are the giveaway, moreso than demeanor if you're skilled.

Still, I don't like to use drugs around places where I feel like I need to hide, so I do it less and less.

i can when im scared ill get in trouble. or atleast make me act less high which in turn makes me feel less high. hope this make sense kinda high right now

depends on how high you are. for me i can usually only hide it if the weed was eaten in a brownie or something because it doesnt make ur eyes all red. but if u smoke then its harder to hide. although if ur trippin balls then its hard to hide either way. and whenever i get high, i fuckin trip balls. so for me its harder to hide

I can...it saved me 1 time for sure...I was soo stoned and my mom's friend called frantic cause her dog ate something bad. (I'm a vets assistant) so I had to tell her wat to do, calm her down and answer all her Q's while I was high as a kite....but she had no idea, couldn't tell and I handled myself pretty good!! :)

I've been smoking pretty solid for over 10 years.

Sometimes I blaze a joint on my way into the office in the morning. Sometimes I head home at lunch and have one. Sometimes I smoke during family events like weddings and parties etc. Sometimes I don't smoke at all.

I honestly do not think any one of my friends and family can tell any difference between me sober and me high. Unless I really blaze hard to the point I am in a couch-lock state, but that doesn't happen too often, maybe if I switch strains after smoking 1 type for a long amount of time.

Maybe this has just come with years of training... I have always been an adrenaline junky/thrill seeker, so in my younger years I would purposely put myself in these kind of predicaments when high cause I enjoyed the rush/fear. I'm strange like that.

totally man. so how's the office over at the BL headquarters?

it depends on the person and their tolerance. i am a daily smoker and act, sound, and look normal when I am high. But it sounds like you can't hide it, so I don't recommend smoking before you have something to do where you have to act normal
