I caught an upper respiratory bug and cannot stop coughing. I've got my friend with me who is also sick. We are both the type that never gets sick. Not right now. I am banned from being around others if it is not videoconferencing - even this is embarrassing. I need to get some damned work finished.

All I would like to do at present is to shower and sleep.

It SUCKS to be sick :(

Regret. A Valentine's day "break-up" followed by two nights of escapism culminating in hanging my head over the toilet bowl for a while. Ugh. But a new day today! Canceled plans just gonna hibernate until the weekend...

An hour or so ago I was asked if I wanted to score any tar. I haven't done heroin in a year and 5 months (I have enough problems with pills), although I have had plenty of opportunities. Well, I realized that I've been fucking up on Oxycontin so frequently, so severely...that I might as well honestly be doing H. I don't want to be doing H, but I am currently going through withdrawals and I really had to think about it. I declined, and decided to ease my nerves by taking a shower. When I got out of the shower and went into the kitchen for dinner, lo-and-behold...there's a brand new insulin syringe on the table from my diabetic grandfather. That fucking syringe talks to you, man. Stares you down and looks for any weakness. Looking at that needle sitting there in front of me while I'm sitting here in pain, dope a phonecall away...was hard. Made me shaky. I can't stand looking at that shit; I especially can't stand it during withdrawals.
