I just took 400MG off Tramadol (with a twist please help)

Okay so i ran out of my script of Ativan and i have no pot so i decided to hit up my moms big old basket of medications. After rumiidging through many empty bottles of T3 lots of doggie meds i came across a bottle of Tramadol. I knew this was a pain killer so i did a bit of search and popped 400MG but the twist is it's doggie medication.

Is it gonna kill me because its a canine painkiller. i was under the impression that tramadol was also prescribed to humans.

Should i take more to get a good high?

What is the normal recreation dose of tramadol? please help

EDIT: bumped dose to 550 and im dusted but i stil feel like my shits good to go. i just woke up from an hour long relaxtion session with my puppy :P

400mg of tramadol done me nicely.

I would say i have a moderate opiate tolerance (80mg oxy usually does me fine)

I do hear that any dose above 400mg of tramadol greatly increases your risk of seizure,so on that evidence i would advise against taking any more.

thanks i took it about 15 minutes ago and i think im starting to feel the first effects hitting me
 
The tramadol they prescribe people is the exact same tramadol they prescribe animals (dogs included). So don't worry about it there. 400mg is a pretty respectable dose. Tramadol does carry with it a risk of seizure but that usually isn't apparent until higher dosages.

It sounds to be like you have a tolerance for opiates already, have you ever used tramadol before?
 
no not tramadol but various opiates, OC, opana all the good stuff. I'm more of a benzo kinda guy cause i get em for free though
 
Ahh, okay, well, as pally pete said, sit back and relax. Tramadol is very similar to most benzos.

Just don't tell your dog you stole it's medication :P
 
Tramadol takes an hour to an hour and a half depending on your stomach contents.

^Although it sounds like you're already nearly at the peak, or already there :)
 
i'm at around an hour now and my cigarette has fallen out of my hand 3 times so thats a good sign :P

oh and falling backwards into my bed is a total win.

to be completly honest i bumped the does to 550 and im right fucked right now
 
really? ive never had a seizure before and have no prior history of epilepcy and i have no intentions of raising dose. for future reference though nothing over 400?

He could experience a seizure at any point whether he did or did not bump up the dose (or take anything to begin with).

It's already been said that he could experience a seizure at high doses, no need to make him freak out and wait for the seizure to hit...
