BrokedownPalace, I agree in theory they shouldn't have an issue with prescribing equal doses of oxycodone without APAP if they don't have an issue scripting Percocet, but I have a feeling some docs consider Perocet a little "safer" abuse potential/addiction wise than pure oxy, even if the dose is low. They may feel more comfortable scripting Percocet, probably becuase it is more commonly used in acute pain situations than pure oxy which is almost never used for pain expected to go away in a short period. Not saying it is right, but a lot of docs do what they do, and stick to it.
