Does Ultram Block Methadone?

I have another thread going about some Methadone questions I had, but something I just found online caused me great alarm so I started this thread in hopes that someone could chime in quickly. I've taken about 1000mg of ultram over the past three days. I just obtained some Methadone and took 10mg about an hour and a half ago. I know peak takes about 3-4 hours, but so far I feel nothing. So, I started looking around online and found quite a few sites saying that Ultram blocked Methadone and would throw anyone on regular Methadone into withdrawals. My question is, what does these mean for my situation. Obviously I'm not concerned about going into withdrawals as i just started the methadone today. What I'm concerned about is if the ultram in my system is going to block the methadone, thus me not feeling a thing after an hour and a half. Any help greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

quick half life...about 7-9 hours...doubt it would block methadone...and from what i read methadone takes mad long

Thanks. Of course now I'm finding posts online where combining the two can be dangerous, even lethal. Somebody give me some solid info quick!

Tramadol DOES NOT block the effects of Methadone. Methadone can block the effects of Tramadol if you are at doses over 60mg or so. As it blocks any opiate once you've reached this dose. Tramadol DOES NOT cause withdrawals if taken with Methadone. It IS NOT lethal to take the two together unless you take too much of one the other as they are both opiates however Tramadol is a weak mu agonist meaning chances of an OD with Tramadol are much less compared to something like heroin. The most likely reason you didn't feel anything is because you took a low of a dose and most wouldn't feel much at that dose. That's a safety dose. A dose to start out with to be safe and test the waters. You simply need a higher dose of Methadone.

Thanks. That's reassuring. Would you recommend upping it now (about 2 hours in), by say 5mg or so? Others have insinuated that I would have to wait 24 hours before upping the dose with any effect.
