Bupe Has anyone used the $75 coupon more than once in a month?

I'm sure anyone who is prescribed to strips in the US knows about the coupon, not sure if they have it overseas or not, but I'm just curious if anyone in the US has used the coupon more than once in a month's time? I know it says once a month, but I am broke this month and already used it once, and am curious what would happen if I tried to use it again?
 
He picked bupe for the topic, so I assume he means the coupon for suboxone. I've only heard of this, it would be nice if you could point me in the direction to obtain one of these coupons.
 
Now that I think about it, you can probably just go to a different pharmacy and use it again, assuming you can transfer your prescription. If not, you might as well try. The worst that can happen is the pharmacist says you can't and you'll have to come back later with $75 more.

EDIT: Wait a sec.. Why would you be getting multiple prescriptions a month? Are you getting half scripts or something instead of a month supply? If that's the case, the price should be proportional, so the $75 savings would be the exact same if you split it in two twice a month instead of once a month... but I guess that's not your point.

Are you all seriously not aware of the $75 coupon for Suboxone strips? You can save $75 once a month on your Suboxone strip prescription. Coupon is free on the Suboxone website main page @ www.suboxone.com. What I'm curious of is whether or not anyone has used the coupon more than once. I actually created a separate topic to ask the question but for some reason it was moved into this one. Not sure why the forum has a 'bupe' heading if you aren't allowed to make any posts about bupe at all, and thanks to a moderator my question will definitely go unanswered.

I guess while I'm here I may as well ask a question about IVing Suboxone. I've been told all my life that IV'ing Suboxone is a terrible idea, and just recently got a call from a friend who read online that it was OK and tried it and went through the worst withdrawals of her life, including almost immediately shitting her pants, to ask if she should go to the hospital. I see on this forum all the time that it's OK to shoot suboxone and it makes me wonder how the hell is that possible? Does the narcan only affect certain people? Isn't narcan designed to inhabit your opiate receptors fully in case of opiate overdose, and effectively starve your opiate receptors making you withdrawal like crazy? What am I missing?
 
^I'm well aware but other people who have discussed being prescribed divided-monthly doses claimed they were only able to use the coupon once per month.
 
I'm all about preventing large pharmaceutical companies from being able to extort us :D

If its possible to do this, if might be advantageous for more people to acquire their subs in divided doses utilizing multiple coupons but of course if enough people do it, surely it'll be noticed and safeguards put in place to prevent the practice.
 
I don't frequent this forum very often but the majority of suboxone doctors in the US start patients out on weekly doses. You all act as if this is some kind of craziness, lol. I'm assuming there are a lot of foreigners here, which explains it.

Hopefully someone else can confirm or deny whether or not the coupon can be used more than once. Each coupon has a unique serial number and I watched the pharmacy tech very closely. She neither scanned the coupon nor entered the serial number anywhere so I'm not quite sure how this could ever be regulated. Unfortunately the coupon is only valid a couple more months so even if we DO discover that it's OK to use it more than once, it will most likely be too late to take full advantage of it.


edit : now back to my original question about shooting suboxone. I'm very interested in this because I'm prescribed 8mg a day and love shooting things up but have always been under the impression that shooting suboxone was a no no. After doing some further research I've read that shooting suboxone is OK as long as you're not dependent on any other opiates at the time? This is terrible timing for me as I just shot some heroin for the first time in a long time yesterday. How long do I need to wait before giving suboxone IV a try? Will I be OK when I start to experience withdrawal symptoms? The heroin was the first opiate I had done besides suboxone in months.

^if you're considering injecting suboxone, PLEASE (for your sake) check out the micron filtration mega thread that captain.heroin made.

Just because you didn't see the pharmacy tech scan or enter anything in front of you doesn't mean they don't do it later on. It might just be protocol to do that sort of thing at the end of the shift/night or something.

You should ideally use a micron filter - IVing Suboxone without doing so is not 100% safe.

Just wait until you are back in withdrawal to take Suboxone with any ROA.
 
I've always used a micron filter. Now I've just got to hold out until the heroin lets go of my receptors. It's already been about 12 hours since I did the last of it anyway, so I should be good by the time I wake up tomorrow.

edit : I have another question, to IV suboxone do you need to be taking it regularly? I understand that you have to not have any other opiates in your system binding to your receptors, but what if someone who never did any opiates including suboxone IV'd it? Would that person get high? The reason I ask is because I was off my suboxone for about 40 hours prior to dosing the heroin, I don't know if you've got to be on a steady daily suboxone dosage for the narcan not to send you into withdrawals.

I'm very interested to try suboxone IV but terrified I'm going to send myself into nightmare withdrawals.

Then 75 dollars off of my months worth script just a week later.

I did fill them at two different pharmacys tho..

And at the first. Pharmacy the lady took my card and typed in the info as far as I know
Then she gave me the card back...

So I had the original card in my wallet wen I. Went to the 2nd pharmacy and gave it to the clerk...

BUT. The 2nd time I used the card the pharmacist did not give it back to me..
And she al@o said that the discount wouldn't go through at first, but by the time I 'american to pay for it, it went through :D

So maybe the 1st pharmacy was supposed to keep the card so I couldn't give it a second time to use?

Or maybe it was because I went to a completly different pharmacy??
 
That's interesting, I wonder if printing out a different coupon (you can print out as many as you want) and taking it to the same pharmacy would work? Each coupon has a unique serial number, and you don't have to enter any personal information to get a new coupon. Fuck it, I'm just going to try it today and see what they say. What's the worst that could happen?
 
I'm sorry but I still don't get it. Is it some sort of a prescription a doctor gives you so you go to pharmacy and get suboxone from program?

If this is it, then no, it doesn't work overseas in Central Europe. In Poland maintenance programs have points where a patient comes to drink his methadone dose or take his Suboxone dose (or collect it after he's considered trusted and is given methadone or Suboxone to take for a week max, with methadone it takes 1-2 months, with Suboxone it's obviously less but hell, nobody wants Suboxone, the ratio of Suboxone patients to Methadone patients is like 1:100, I guess...).
 
I don't know how I could be much clearer. On the suboxone website is a coupon for $75 off your prescription at the pharmacy. It is valid at any pharmacy and takes 75 dollars off the total price of your prescription. So if you normally paid 100 bucks to get your prescription, now you would only pay 25. 100 - 75 = 25. I am sorry if I sound condescending right now but I'm literally trying to explain it in the simplest way possible.

I am about to head up to a different pharmacy to give this a try, I will post the results.
 
Well I just got back from the pharmacy and the weirdest thing happened. I am prescribed 1 strip a day, 30 per month so I normally just use the coupon once a month and pay for the rest out of pocket. This month however I am broke so I dropped off my prescription for 30, used the coupon to get 8 of them out and left the other 22 at the pharm. Today I called and transferred the prescription from that pharmacy to a different one near my house and printed off a new coupon. When I walked up to pick up the strips, the technician said 'there's no charge for this', which really threw me off guard. She could tell I was surprised and asked if there normally a charge. I tried to play it cool and said 'well I normally use this coupon but it must have already been applied'. So I did get 8 more strips for free, but I didn't even have to use the coupon. I have no idea how this happened. It's almost as if the first pharmacy transferred over only the 8 that I had already picked up and used the coupon on.

So the question is still left unanswered, though I most definitely got 8 more strips free today so I'm pretty happy.
