I meant to shoot you a PM actually, I've been gifted with a mini oven that doesn't need me to pay for a gas fitter, so I'm back in the real world of cooking.

Ahh how inconsiderate of the person though, somebody from freecycle could have given that a much needed home, I've noticed a few wanted ads for ovens on there in the past couple weeks. I bet ovens don't even fetch a lot for scrap!

Still, thank you though :) That would have helped me out a lot if I'd not managed to get hold of a one that didn't require proper fitting.

No divide at all. That's what Samhain means by a Mondays vs Roses debate being out of order - like asking which your favourite child is. Both are legends... but the Mondays are better ;)

Kid: I'd love to see the Primals but no ticket, no cash and no notice. Jealous though cos along with the Mondays and Roses they are the Holy Trinity of "Madchester" bands. Despite being Glaswegian. Mani switched to the Primals when the Roses split up though so Manchester by default :D

My favourite Primals song still. Saw them live with Kevin Shields on guitar once. Great gig. I was up in the seats and we even had a shameless toot because it was so dark in there.
 
I like the Primals so much I even like their first coupla pre-MDMA albums :D

Kid: March 26th sounds better and even feasible. Thought you meant next month. Very tempted now. Will have to see how ticket availability/cashflow converge but if they do I'm definitely up for it :)

Only last night I was trying to defend the honour of the second, eponymous one. Indie Garage Cock Rock crossover at it's finest. And worst, but in an enjoyable way. ;)

Geekery: Bobby lived in the MCR for a bit; he was in a band called The Wake. So the Manc connection is stonger still. Civic imperialism maybe, but still...

ah thats good to hear. Those table top ovens are good. You can get table top hobs too.

I can´t beleive there are people on this board who have never heard Stone Roses or Happy Mondays. Stone Roses are obviously FAR FAR FAR superior though. The debut album is one of the best albums ever and the follow up isn´t too bad either.

My favourite track without a doubt is What The World Is Waiting For. Fucking epic.
