benzos and anxiety question

hi
i dont know where to put this question, i hope advenced drug discussion fits the best

when taking benzos for anxiety they should relieve you from it right?
and if anxiety is making pains ( im thinking of chest pains mostly) it should go away too, right?

and if anxiety is cousing heart palpitiations, benzos should make that ok too,
for the time they are in blood system.


im just curious , becouse doctors says its all anxiety what is making me this problems.
im not sure,
ill take today again benzos, i have bromozepamum, and thinking to take larger doze than usual 1,5mg. im thinking of 4,5 mg and see if it helps, i mean relief my pains,
i have no tolerance to benzos, my last doze 1,5 was 2 weeks ago
please help me with my confusion.

Out of curiosity, did they hook you up to an ECG at some point?

ECGs are quite cheap and simple to read. Every doctor's office should have the machine.

Acid reflux can often seem like chest pains.
 
I had ecg and echo by now, i have to wait till march for being completly tested by cardiologist, becouse my heart seems fine. so thats why im diagnosted with anxiety and panic attacks.
Im just asking if benzos can tell me if im expiriencing real or anxiety pains, i dont see the diffrence, becouse my anxiety level is very low.
i know how acide reflux feels like, burning in throut, can it couse pains too, becouse i had acid reflux often?

well before i go to bed ill take 4.5mg of bromozepam, i dont think its a high dose. and i think its high enough to tell me if its all in my head.
 
It could be both, I have a heart condition (discovered by a cardiologist, not my now-ex-primary care doctor), and anxiety.

There are many other symptoms of panic and anxiety, however, part of what sucks about having an anxiety disorder is the fact that after a while you get anxious about having anxiety. "Anticipatory anxiety" is what my psych calls is. So, it is possible that you're having anxiety about heart palpitiations, which in turn causes heart palpitiations as a symptom of your anxiety. If that makes any sense.

Either way, see a cardiologist and get a stress echo/ECG or whatever it is your cadiologist thinks is right. Better safe than sorry.
 
1.5 mg of bromazepam is practically nothing!! it's equivalent to like .125 mg of alprazolam.

take at least 6 mg if you have really severe anxiety and i guarantee you'll notice it.

bromazepam also has a slower onset compared to other benzos
 
I think the OP is asking whether or not a benzodiazepine can be used to confirm a diagnosis of anxiety.

I'm no doctor, but if the ECG and chest echo were unremarkable and 6 mg of bromazepam relieves your symptoms then I guess the problem is psychiatric. If the chest pains don't go away then try a PPI like omeprazole for a couple of weeks (check interactions).
 
very strong point on acid reflux. if its not that then its most probably anxiety disorder
 
thanks a lot 4 answers, i took only 3mg of bromozepamun i think it helped a little, it wasnt as strong as it used to be, maybe becouse my anxiety is low, or maybe becouse im taking coaxil( tianeptine 2x3 pills a day )
ill ask psih next week more questions. i want to go to cardiologist but its to expencive for me right now, so i guess ill have to wait, for the insured cardiologist.

i cant believe its all anxiety, becouse i dont feel anxious, i used to feel anxious a lot, like i thought im crazy. but now chest pains are my anxiety only, thats why im self testing me, and i dont know what else test could i do more. i know its get worse when im outside

any suggestions are welcome, i would be verry happy to know how somebodey found out about their heart problems and what was signs of it.
i wont take benzos anymore now for longer time, becouse when i have been doing bromozepam daily, i felt wierder after 5 days, was dizzy, and couldnt be normal.
 
Sounds like beta blockers might be a better fit than benzos, since your problems are mostly physiological.
 
Hey, I had to tell myself this, "it is your body and you spend your time with it and YOU and only YOU truly knows if it is mental or physical."
Maybe you got a little muscle tear, maybe your smoking too much? Who knows, but anxiety body reactions come and go with anxious feelings. Doctors find "anxiety" to be a convenient excuse for problems that aren't easily figured out. Fuck these doctors and their exotic beliefs of mind over matter.
 
you should get a second opinion. chest pain and shortness of breath are indicators of possible life threatening cardiovascular problems. if youve been diagnosed with panic attacks manifested by chest pain or shortness of breath and its not relieved by anxiety medications, it could possibly be related to something else. remember, underlying health issues can be overlooked by your healthcare provider, especially if they dont rule out other possibilities. its best to get a second opinion to confirm, your chest pain and shortness if breath is, in fact, due to anxiety.
