my brother and i would make pancakes late at night, she would stand here snorting and panting watching us.
when ever the bater was almost gone, we'd use the last of it to make little 1/5$ size pan-cakes for her!

seemed like the right thing at the time.
we didnt give her any molasses or syrup or anything, maybe a bit of crisco spray or butter, but that seemed okay too.

At least you gave her goodies! I was once talking to a woman in a pet store who openly admitted to starving her pug :( She said she didn't want him to be 'overweight like most pugs' 8) Consequently, he ended up literally only getting about half of what he was supposed to eat daily. It made me so angry, haha. I wanted to turn her face into a pug-like formation for simply stating that. Pugs are supposed to be chunky, damnit!
Looking back, I should have simply grabbed the lil guy, took off, and fattened him up with pancakes! =D

Awww! Its raining Pugs!!! ....Could never understand where the 'Pug-ugly' term came, from they are the most beautiful creatures, they own me with the big brown eyes! :)

^ I had to turn down adopting a 4 month old chocolate pit recently it was hard as hell but unfortunately with life as it is adding is simply not a viable option.

SideOrderOfOpiates -- why dont you get a pug? they are awesome dogs! so loving. wow hearing that story about the lady starving her pug :[ makes me sad. anyone who hurts animals pisses me off.

we got beatrice cause my ex worked at a pet store here and the lady who owned her couldnt take care of her anymore. so she pretty much just abandoned her and left her at my ex's work. he called me saying, "you want a pug?" he knew i always wanted one and beatrice needed a home, so we took her in that night.


Asclepius -- i dont understand why everyone thinks pugs are so ugly either. i think they're the cutest. but that is like me...loving the thing that society calls unwanted and ugly! :)

godlovesugly, I totally would...if I had the extra finances right now :\
I'm a huge advocate when it comes to people taking proper care of their pets. I've found that a lot of people who don't have the adequate income to give their pet(s) proper care, will take in all these lil critters without being able to provide them the care they deserve! I see that as just selfish—the animal can't tell you that he's mange-infested, miserable, and fucking starving! Haha. When I get a pug, I want to be able to spoil it R O T T E N ! <3

The story about how you acquired Beatrice sounds a lot like how I got my cat Erf (minus the details of my ex being an asshole)! My boyfriend at the time called me one day and told me his friends sister's cat just had kittens. I had told him I really wanted a black kitten, so he said "okay, babe, I'll keep the kitten here for you until you can come pick it up."
When I went to go get him, the idiot put my flea infested lil child into a box and sat him on his front porch in the rain :(

He's a really laid back cat. Or should I say, 'cool cat'! Haha. %) Acts a lot like a dog, actually. He's never hissed at anyone in the 6 and a half years that I've had him. He pretty much just humps a stuffed puppet cat all day, eats, and takes naps. None of that hissy, bitchy, whiny crap that some cats just exude. I'm a proud mommy! =D

Aescip- you'll be waiting a while; I don't usually talk like that. I <3 craic though, but people here don't generally get what it means, and I just get funny looks when I tell them that I had 'some good crack' this weekend.
